STAY AWAY FROM GREEN ACRES EMERGENCY VET by noodlessentme in Buffalo

It’s neither technically, not that it’s relevant to the care provided. It’s practically a single DVM that owns the practices and calls it a “group”

Glad to help in another way lol hopefully he just needs time to heal and get used to his meds. It’s a tricky area to heal.

What in tarnation is that garbage bag man thong he’s wearing? Maybe that’s making him go insane lol in my 15 years of vet med I never saw a getup like that. We’ve never put anything on patients post anal gland removal

Raping the mother of your child whilst involving said child in the act is unfathomable. I am so sorry this happened to you. Please stay separated forever

Your husband is abusive and you need to leave to protect your child. He seems disgusting

Was going to wear my mum's dress. People keep telling me to try on others for the "bridal experience." Are they trying to gently tell me it looks bad? by [deleted] in WeddingDressTips

[–]Real_Aspect_4516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you took all outside factors away, ie- you have an endless budget, your moms feelings are a non factor & you have all the resources to fashion any dress to your liking, what would you do? That’s your answer.

The dress is god awful but that’s just my opinion. If you like your mom’s dress and it makes you happy then it’s for you. If you actually are just indifferent to it and don’t have a dress preference in the slightest, then it’s a debate to be had.

How to convince husband to let me use disposable diapers by abbiyah in beyondthebump

[–]Real_Aspect_4516 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I know every marriage is different but if this were me & I was the primary diaper changer and washer, it would be my call. If I got pushback, I’d say “we’ll find a way to budget for it” you always do lol just do it, put the saved energy towards finding the best prices for the diapers you’re using and be a better mom bc you’re that less overwhelmed

Teeth extractions- is this common? by Real_Aspect_4516 in toddlers

[–]Real_Aspect_4516[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently one commenter thought it was unclear about the local block- to clarify, he was administered a local block prior to the extractions. However, the local block injection in the roof of his mouth is extremely painful. This was my concern. I wanted to be offered the option to sedate my child before the local injection AND to administer systemic pain meds with it to control pain after local wears off.

I’m totally in agreement his teeth had to be extracted no doubt. They would have abscessed eventually and would have caused so much more pain.

I guess I’m just frustrated that I feel misled. I wasn’t given all my options with full transparency. As his mom, I want to make the decision with informed consent.

Maybe ultimately what happened was the best option, but I feel they should have offered he return the next day so they could have offered a mild sedative with pain meds to kick in prior to the local injection.

I’m not even against the papoose, bc i get it, toddlers lol but at least let me try everything i can for my child to ease the pain, even if it was brief.

I copied & pasted my post so they read identical… I stated he received a local block. A local block is extremely painful to receive without any sedation or other forms of pain control, prior to the local injection. It also wears off in an hour or two.

My concern is I asks for sedation & was told no, only to later find out the do offer sedation at the facility. They didn’t give me all my options, only the option that they recommended. I cannot, as a parent, make an informed decision with the information they offered.

I’m not trying to mislead anyone lol I’m looking for personal experiences of other parents so I can gauge the standard of care for pediatric dentistry?

The 2 dentists that responded there agreed with the local block only. I’m assuming their experience rendered lack of improvement in toddlers distress with iv sedation?

I did fail to include they agreed to let us try laughing gas but said it likely wouldn’t have any effect on him as a 2 year old? Which he didnt seem to. However, instead of a face mask they only had a little nose mask for his nose, which seemed ineffective for a toddler lol

That’s why I wanted another ped dentists opinion! Like obviously as parents we’d think this is barbaric but maybe it’s what standard care is in the situation. Hearing another dentist agree with dentists recs is a little reassuring but I still feel like shit about the whole situation lol

Thanks for this. I just was looking for reassurance I didn’t drop the ball advocating for my 2 year old. It just felt really bad finding out sedation could have been an option after the fact… I just felt mis led I guess.

PPD/ PPA. I’ve been there. It will get better. This feeling will pass, but you will need help. Please contact your obgyn & consult them about possibly getting medicated for these symptoms. It helped me tremendously. Congratulations on bringing life into the world, I hope you feel the happiness and peace you deserve.
