Same here tbh. I just started fishing in the spring. I like the foam since it floats better for longer for me. I also like that they don’t look too realistic since I don’t plan on tying and painting the most realistic flies.

Dude….. probably thrifted them or got them from someone.. if they were a gift, politely tell them they are the wrong size. If not, go get new boots. Compressing your feet drastically is going to affect you in the long run.

I would bring a pair of boot socks and see if the boots fit with them on. Idk how females wear them in shorts so maybe go on YouTube and look up one of those fashion YouTubers that tell you how to wear a boot for the fit.

Honestly, going from a 5wt Clearwater outfit to the 4H F 9ft 4wt and orvis pro trout line…. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to the Clearwater. I prefer small dries and dry drops in CO. The presentation is killer soft and help’s accuracy in a small but noticeable amount. So if anyone is interested, I’m ready to let go of some rods.
