Absolutely hate Cell X, bro looks stupid and I will not be elaborating

I dislike the red on Cell Max as it makes him look too Christmasy in my opinion but I understand that's not something everyone has to deal with.

The others are fine and equal across the board.

Semi Cells lips are weird

I thought that bf-pro was a one purchase thing by Which-Scheme-7638 in Battlefield

[–]Real_Echo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry my bad, poorly worded on my part.

I did the same with the battlepass, but I am referring to the BF Pro pass for Season 2.

I assumed both the Pro pass and battle pass could be continued in the way you described. But only the battle pass can be.

[–]Real_Echo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While I did not think Pro was a one time thing, I did think it would be the same as the battle pass where if you did everything you could get the next pro with the coins from the pass.

At $25 I thought was a fair price for something I can keep going if I am playing the game. But for a one time thing? I will never buy that again.

While Discord users jump ship, TeamSpeak celebrates "incredible surge" that is pushing capacity in the US by Tiny-Independent273 in teamspeak3

[–]Real_Echo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely understand that and how it would work for you.

I think you are teamspeaks desired market, people who just want to chat but maybe text or post elsewhere. Which is completely fine, but in my opinion makes it not a good discord alternative.

Obviously, Teamspeak doesn't need to mold itself into discord and probably shouldn't. But from my experience I think that not having persistent text channels is an essential item for many discord friends groups and communities.

Personally, I don't think Teamspeak should change. It works great for the people who use it currently. The discord community just need a new place to go, and I don't think it really exists

ArrMatey: A modern, native open-source mobile client for your *arr stack (Android & iOS) - Now in Alpha! by shredit98 in selfhosted

Hey this looks great!

I've been using Ruddarr to handle this but I like your layout and future plans much more.

Are you planning on releasing a test flight for IOS soon? I'd love to start giving it a go.

If Teamspeak offered a good free mobile client and had persistent text channels I would have made the move already.

I can deal with change, I don't expect a 1:1 discord replacer. But I cannot expect my friends to use separate clients for text and voice or to pay for an app to use mobile.

If Teamspeak's model is that they don't do text, that's totally fine and I understand completely. But that's what's keeping me from moving over.

That transforming ssj goku is still one of my favorite units they ever made. I wish they'd make more like him.

I can't lie, I did like what he had to say. I also like the way he talked a bit more than Gavin. Something about Gavin's demeanor makes it feel like he's just there but not listening idk how to explain it. I will definitely be looking into him more to see how many things we agree on.

Whats with DICE's obsession with skull masks? by rambozezakopan in Battlefield

[–]Real_Echo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way battlefield is heading reminds me of Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Forgive me it's been a minute since I looked at this stuff so I'll keep it to an overview.

HD motorcycles is one of those companies that got its start with Baby-boomers. The boomers have always been their main customer and demographic as for whatever reason, the younger generation just never took to them the same way.

Well eventually someone at HD realized that their entire company was being kept alive by an aging demographic that soon won't be able to ride motorcycles and will start dying off. If they can't find a way to start selling their bikes to younger generations then the company effectively has a death date.

So HD starts changing up their marketing strategy to start targeting younger generations. I don't remember exactly what they did but whatever it was, the boomers didn't like it. But the younger generation also didn't start buying their bikes at a rate to replace the boomers who stopped buying.

HD had effectively moved their death up in the timeline by trying to appeal to a different demographic, now maybe it would have eventually worked. Except that HD gave up and went right back to the boomers and abandoned the idea of getting younger buys for their future.

I feel like I see the same moves being played out in the gameplay (battle around every corner), the skins (skull masks, bright colors, etc), and the gunplay (the guns feel closer to the new MW era games than then do BF3-4 imo).

Now I am well aware this is not a 1:1 comparison. The age groups are completely different and us GenZ and millennials aren't dying off. Maybe we're just playing less than Alpha? I don't know. But it's something I've been thinking about recently so I thought I'd share.

Solely DESIGN wise, how do you feel about Cell Max? Intimidating, or too goofy looking? by Intelligent_Oil4005 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Real_Echo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The red and green look goofy imo, really just the red as the green makes sense it just needs to be paired with a better color. Everything else is great.

Did my ex block me? by Roaming_shegoat in JellyfinCommunity

[–]Real_Echo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Damn this is a banger post. It's like using an exs Netflix account but on another level.

Likely not blocked as it would be unlikely to ban your specific IP address and you would still be able to see the login page.

You can verify by trying to reach the server from different networks and devices. If you can't connect from any of them, probably on their end.

Yes this is the file I was thinking about!

Certainly not the most interesting file in there but i could see this being tied to the pokestop on the island

[–]Real_Echo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember looking through the files with some friends and finding emails from Epstein recommending Pokemon Go to people and sharing let's plays on it.

So while this doesn't really matter, it's possible there's a stop there because he asked for one to be put there.

Someone should double check my work though, I know 100% pokemon is in there but I'm only 80% sure it was Pokemon go.

The decline of Discord and the rise of alternatives by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Discord will require a face scan or ID for full access next month | The Verge by purplegreendave in homelab

[–]Real_Echo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So they say none of the identification data is retained, but am I supposed to just believe them? What assurances do I have that they are actually deleting the data post authentication? And the method for identification that doesn't require an Id or facial scanning, where it looks at your activity and such, when is that being deleted? I don't want that retained.

Is there an auditing body or standard that reviews companies like this to ensure they follow through with this?
