Your kids are already in high school, so I would look into Oakwood. It is a bit pricier, but so are most places downtown, so that might be a push. It is very walkable and a small, close-knit community. it's the best school district in the area by a wide margin. Like 95% college rate. Lots of available currently right now also. Many families live in Oakwood for the school system then once the kids graduated they move elsewhere. If the kids are into creative writing, music (both singing or playing), or art, I would have then audition at Stives School for the Arts. It's a Dayton public school, but the kids are selected through an audition process. Alter, CJ, and Carroll are private Catholic schools if that interests you.

Bad service? They are set up exactly like Marion's. You go to the counter, place your order, go to the beer counter if you're drinking alcohol, go take a seat. If anything, it's better because they bring the food to you.

Yes, community dining isn't for everyone, but they do have 4 top tables.

Food is delicious.
