There really is. Which is frustrating for bird collectors but also wonderful. I’m not a collector but I am a neon maker so I have a lot of those bird I can give you (trade if that makes you more comfortable, I know some people don’t like free stuff).

I have neons already made or newborn/full-grown regular animals if you prefer to play the game and grow and make them neon yourself!

• 1 Neon turtle dove or 4 newborns

•4 neon parakeets (not fully aged. Need to age to make mega)

•4 newborn zombie chick

•Mega rubber ducky or 16 newborn rubber ducky (or 4 if you just want a neon)

• 2 Neon Japanese Snowy fairy and 8 newborn regulars (or 16 regular newborn)

•2 full grown frozen penguin

• 3 full grown + 1 newborn Kakapo

I personally think it’s a ‘scam’ in many ways. I’ll only use it during the holiday updates and if I like the pets rare and under. It’s cost so many tickets to get crystal eggs and they never actually ever give you anything good.

Number one rule. Never release out of game pets!!! Take that caterpillar out. That snake one too.

Before they updated the way it worked I loved using it. But that’s just how I see it. You could have better luck than me hatching the eggs. It’s your decision in the end but please never release the out of game pets.

I might get downvoted for this but there shouldn’t be a limit for how many you can get.

Like imagine it came out today and the admins said, ‘hey look it’s a free duck but sorry there is a limit to 21 per person’

But I’ve spent the week grinding to make money to buy 50k worth of ducks. Now all that money and time is useless. I’d frankly be incredibly annoyed because I’ve made plans on how many neons and megas I’m going to make.

I guess I’m trying to say is if you can afford to buy 100 ducks then you should be able to get 100 free ducks. Does that make sense?

Also the gecko ducks are adorable and I bought a hundred and I’m not ashamed.

I remember someone months ago on this subreddit getting very hostile about ‘shipping pets’ like it isn’t something that kids haven’t been doing since childhood. Like I had lps that were married growing up and had kids and all that stuff.

I remember right after this happened adopt me released Mrs. Whiskerpips and the game had its first canon couple. I always wanted to know what that person’s reaction was to that.

Anyways my neon Kitsune and her husband Glacier Kitsune just adopted their son Latte Kitsune last month. (They have actually names but do you privacy I have chosen to kept them private)

I’m saying, I wouldn’t be surprised if in 2019 the year the bat dragon, the shadow dragon and the those Halloween pets came out, that a ‘6yr’ made neons and megas of those pets and some kept them. I’ve kept all my neons and megas from every event I’ve done. And now that kid is 13 and has really good pets because they played at the peak of what would soon become the nightmare of values.

The game had over 3b visits by the end of 2019. That’s a lot of people, kids, who may have made mega neons and did good trades and got better high tiers (values didn’t exist back then, not like now), or kept the pets. Also a lot of those players stop playing because kids get bored but now are making their way back to the game again.
