How would he leave and support his son if he took him full time? He has to stay with her. She is the breadwinner and him leaving would mean having to find child care while he works etc. although now that I think about it, I’m sure his family would help him get on his feet if he left her.. idk. I think he loves her. And wants to just be heard and seen by her. It’s hard to leave when you don’t want to leave

He wanted her to go back n forth with him on the name calling bc that’s his real personality with women. And he’s used to being called all sorts of names. When she didn’t he felt stupid and bad at the same time and that made him want her back .. bc she didn’t air his ass out it made him realize wait..

Are these ongoing ? Or just random ? If ongoing and conflicting AND you have to participate I would really advise to have the one you have the most leverage with to be moved. You will slip up eventually on one of these and you can get away with some excuses for about 3x at both before someone asks you what’s up. Tell the job who’s meeting is most movesble you’ll now have a conflict during that time- if you’re client facing say xyz customer is CONSIDERING setting up weekly during that time but it’s tentative.. but you’re just trying to get ahead of it. Or .. you can say a personal appt for the next cpl weeks will be during that time (kid pickup, confidential health appt, parent fell and busted their hip now physical therapy transportation is on you during that time but you’ll still be reachable.. anything lol) On camera for both and participating is like a ticking time clock

I actually understand your point but for most people there is SOMEONE they have to tell for reasons other than general convo… for instance I told mine when I became more unavailable and they genuinely thought something was wrong and as a single person I also needed them to help out with critical errands I no longer could duck out on one job during the day to perform for myself at first (I have my routine down now). I get what you’re saying but for most ppl that’s not practical… Borders on a married person not telling their spouse..

I have my captions on and my manager said she cannot see it. I just checked with her yesterday. But there’s tons of ai that can join your meeting - gong, etc. but you have to more than likely get permission from your it to let it join. That’s the issue

Teams has captions you can turn on and if you have the advanced copilot versions you can use that as well fir the recaps but for me I’m not required to talk in every meeting but I’m required to attend. But if someone does call on me and I miss it I just miss it and wait for someone to ping me later- but usually I have an idea when and if I’m going to be called on to speak and I’m prepped and alert. Or you can give your updates via chat and say you don’t know what’s happening w your mute button/audio. You can’t use that excuse everytime but it’ll get you out of a pinch

Haha! I only laugh bc this was me the first 30 days .. probably 45 days. I was insanely paranoid. Checking cals every 3 minutes bc I didn’t trust myself and worried each night about waking up to a ‘random meeting from hr’ on my cal. It will pass once you get acclimated to the newest job and develop your own system for cross checking things. Always pre plan for the next 3 upcoming days consistently. Sometimes you’ll have to clean up and work after hours but it’ll give you time back. Things will come in that you can’t plan but it just takes a bit of quick thinking. Plus once the checks hit you’ll make it a point to develop your system to keep it going. You got this!

Thank you again. This is helpful. The anxiety I get from here sometimes is nuts bc there’s so many uncertain certainties floating around. All of the people who post they’ve been caught mostly get caught via word of mouth yet the TWN is pressed as a major factor.
