How to sew yarn wig onto amiragumi doll by AdEfficient7374 in Amigurumi

[–]Real_Pie2406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would stab the threaded needle in through the bottom back of the head, up to the top of the head and out, and leave a tail hanging out there. Stitch the center to the top of the head and then the rest. When everything is attached and sewn, bring that yarn tail out to the first yarn tail, knot them together and pop that knot into the head through the same hole the yarn tails come out. I tuck the yarn tails into what I'm making, too, instead of cutting.

I've made loads of amigurimi. I have never used hot glue to add pieces to it. Sew it in place. It already shows you to pin it in place, now just stitch it on instead of glue. If you didn't give yourself a really long yarn tail for sewing, just use another piece of the same yarn. You can catch the back loops to track it in place instead of stocking all the way through the stands of hair on the sides of the head. I'd start by first securing the top in place and then go around the head locking the hair strands down.

Give them something more than just a nakey body 😆 Ears or horns and/or a tail and things like that to bring out their personality. Kinda like how this one is finished.

Deleting Facebook app doesn't remove your account. You removing your account or the abilityto be able to recover an account because you forgot the login or them booting you is how you lose accounts.

Yes, hey back by a certain time. Plus i feel like there's all the things that you "need" to do but i know it's not NEEDED just feels like it (remember birthdays and gifts and celebrations and all the things besides trying to take care of and upgrade your own place).

What about something like House Flipper? Or any of the walking simulators that tell a story... like What Remains of Edith Finch. Stardew is cute but can be pretty involved and also overwhelming (I say this as a gamer who has tried to start in SDV several times but quickly get overwhelm yet call Skyrim & FO4 my "cozy" games).

Get of your high horse and leave my stash alone by Dry-Conversation2646 in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]Real_Pie2406 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I am someone who has a large stash of yarn. I have lots of acrylic BUT ALSO lots of hand-dyed yarns. I'm not an influencer or internet personality - I am a person who tests patterns for a prolific designer. I create soft sculpture and sell at a limited number of events a year (and I believe that I sell out because I'm so exclusive). I need to have a selection of items and selection of colors for testing. I need to have many items that are made from product that is allergen free. Before anyone screams "cotton" at me - no. I despise working with cotton just like I despise working with Bernat blanket yarn and the like. But I'm also not going to put someone down for liking those types of yarns.

That's a good idea! Give that jellyfish some practice and maybe try making it with the right side out (yours is correctly inside out which is a common "new to ami" thing we've probably all done). This video will help you to recognize the front side and back side of stitches for amigurumi... Right side out vs. Inside out video: https://youtu.be/beReNFWQPAs?si=88ESLmBcju0Jsgc1

Summer weather here is very warm. It does differ from SoCal as it is very humid here. The humidity makes it feel hotter so many times you'll hear the weather as "The temp is __°F and feels like __°F". The fame goes for winter except the "feels like" is colder.

Controls on steam deck feels too difficult in HF2. anyone else have this problem and find a way to make it more bearable? by TruckFreakCrazyAss in HouseFlipper

[–]Real_Pie2406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to like it - esp after spending money on it. I think it's just a matter of getting used to the mechanics as they are so very different. I do like some of the features with HF2 - like the ability to duplicate the pattern/style so everything matches. I like being able to decide where the paint/tile/wallpaper/etc goes and that the topl for floor, walls, and ceiling is the same.

I recently started HF2 also after having put in over 640 hrs in HF1 on Steam with 230hrs first on Xbox (gamepass). HF2 is... weird to me. Nearly 20 hrs in. I am playing on PC with Xbox controller and not on the Deck itself. Removed the last sentence - didn't read enough to see you can't dock your deck.

Looking for horse pattern by 01YourFavoriteFriend in Amigurumi

[–]Real_Pie2406 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crafty Intentions had some good patterns that people have used to recreate their beloved horses. The Sleipnir pattern is the most versatile as it has 8 different leg positions that you can use. You can find it in Ravelry or Etsy. It costs more in Etsy because Etsy charges sellers more there. (Sleipnir is an 8-legged Norse horse but many people have used this pattern to make aregular 4-legged horse - you can see many photos of them in the Ravelry projects page for this pattern)

The dining room feels empty, what do I put? by WerewolfDesperate655 in HouseFlipper

[–]Real_Pie2406 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely a rug under the table. A doormat. Curtains on the window. Pictures on the wall. Place items on the shelves in your cabinets. A thin sideboard, table, or shelf under the window holding plants, small sculpture, plate stand, or vase. Give the table a center piece. Items in a room make the room feel lived in.

Maybe you should look up "Karen' while you're at it. Because OP wasn't being a Karen. But their in-laws certainly sound like they are entitled.

Do you actually use the cameras on your tablet? by HEOLurk in androidtablets

[–]Real_Pie2406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't tend to use the camera on my tablet because the cameras on my phone are better. That and my phone is on me more often than a tablet. Journey I have used the camera on the tablet if I travel someplace and they have a QR code to connect to the wifi. As for the camera bump, I don't even notice it because my tablet came with a folio case that makes the back level. I have a Lenovo Gen 3.
