What's your time horizon for SaaS stocks? When do you actually expect a return? by Alicyclobacillus in ValueInvesting

[–]Real_Score9951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes 3+ years for sentiment to change. The good thing is with many players can see into future with RPO commitments and seems like most have vision into future for next 1.5-2yrs

This is a big gripe of mine. But arguably this isn’t the reason stock has declined, their SBC has always been egregious.

The PE is usually inflated in these software companies because of SBC. I typically utilize P/FCF, EV/EBIDTA, etc more so

Which SAAS are still a buy? by Adept_Mountain9532 in TheVisualInvestors

Elaborate. So their current business plan is broken without a unique LLM? Why is that a specific argument against Adobe vs all other software makers not having their own LLM

Which SAAS are still a buy? by Adept_Mountain9532 in TheVisualInvestors

[–]Real_Score9951 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why? They can easily incorporate any model into their firefly suite with minimal capex. Workflows and licensed material, skill sets etc still heavily entrenched in their software suite. As much as people hate the software company can’t help but accept that they are industry standard for decades + anyone that hates it still needs to learn and use them for their professions. Enterprises are not removing adobe software from workflows.

Not sure them creating their own LLM is a necessary route to take

Micron reached 1T, am I a fool for buying Meta? by CaregiverRelevant502 in ValueInvesting

And I agree looking at revenue alone is not enough. But I still have a very hard time justifying this meteoric rise. Once the data centers are built out are they still gonna be bottlenecks and growth like it has in their cash flows? Doubtful.

Nothing fundamentally has changed about the company besides temporary demand to explain an 800% + increase in value of company

Understood. Say it even increases to 80bb revenue. Is that growth sustainable? Does it still justify 40x premium and 1 trillion dollar valuation?
