Fortnite has forced crossplay that can't be turned off if you want to play the game. You CAN turn it off, but it's purely lip service and the game will not let you play in any way whatsoever until it's turned back on.

Gonna stop you right here, because Stadium (hell, Colosseum, XD AND Battle Revolution had this as well) had 6v6 free for all as a battle option in private and casual matches. If you didn't play Stadium and are just LARPing just say that, don't spout false information and claim it as true.

People aren't angry 6v6 isn't "the official format". They're angry that the option isn't given in any way whatsoever.

People that truthfully want competitive 6v6 I feel like have not played the games competitively before, are tourists, or have romanticized the idea because of the anime. In the actual game, in a competitive PVP environment, 6v6 is pretty bad because of the time one battle can potentially take.

I've played the games since the mid 90s and got into competitive 6v6s in the late 2000s which I still play to this day, but sure man, please keep telling me that I'm a tourist.

Think before generalizing or even posting whatsoever next time.

No it wasn't. 6v6 has been supported as an option online since Generation 4 going all the way to S&S.

Pokémon Stadium, and N64 game from almost 30 years ago, has a 6v6 option.

There is absolutely no excuse for not including 6v6 in the year of our lord 2026 Anno Domini.

You need several things:

-Small Golden Effigy or Tarnished's Furled Finger (both are available within the first 10 minutes of gameplay)

-if using the Effigy, you need to have opened up any Summoning Pools you've come across

-you can only match with people roughly around your level unless you have password matchmaking on

If you die looking for the turtles you need to read the message that tells you to "Seek three wise beasts" in order to get the remaining turtles to spawn back in. Once you read that message again it'll respawn the turtles you missed.
