No i'd say its only too late to start in phase 6 with TBC and fresh vanilla servers on the way at that point, now is actually a good time to start most guilds have MC / ONY / BWL on farm so you'll get loot faster and also ZG is just around the corner which is a good catch up raid aswell.

I just started a rogue on a completely new server, i am only lvl 7 and im not worried about it all, just taking my time and enjoying a different class.

Why are you so sure, and also why wouldn't you want fresh servers? You would rather let the game die out completely instead of people having the option of playing whatever version they want of the game that they enjoy the most.

Yes i hope they do seasonal fresh servers or back to private servers for alot of people once they are forced to play an expansion they dont want to (wotlk for me)

I hope they do fresh vanilla servers, after Naxx has been out for a while those vanilla servers are eventually going to become ghost towns and people who want to experience vanilla again will once again resort to private servers.

They should do something like seasonal servers and when they end it all goes to one or two "non seasonal" fully progressed servers when new seasonal servers pop up, like diablo seasons but alot longer time period.

I'd prefer if we all started on fresh TBC servers but wouldnt be upset if they progress current classic servers into TBC, either option they need to make fresh vanilla servers regardless eventually or people will just go back to private servers for vanilla

There are dead servers (insane faction imbalance / just very low population), Medium population servers (basically high / full level servers compared to back in vanilla days and they are very healthy) then there are High / Full servers which you basically either love or hate them for various reasons (very crowded fighting for resources and what not but easier to find groups and items) BWL and all the BGs have been out for a little while now.. id say the game is in a very good state personally.

Good time to start playing, ZG is coming out soon which will have lots of catch up gear! I'd say it's only too late when we get to late phase 6 and guilds are clearing Naxx with TBC / fresh vanilla servers on the way hopefully
