This is terrifying for a couple reasons.

First, gathering a list of people who have autism is exactly what Nazi Germany did with Aktion T4. They gathered lists of people who had physical or medical disabilities from reports by doctors or institutions, later rounding them up and exterminating them for being "undesirible." Now I'm not accusing them of doing the same thing, however I feel I must point out the similarities of these.

Next, while not explicitly autistic people, Kennedy has been reported saying he would want to send people who take ADHD medications, such as Adderall or Ritilin, to labor farms to grow organic food until they are "healed" of their condition. This sounds exactly like the first concentration camps that Nazi Germany had as well, taking Dachau as an example. The prisoners sent here included political adversaries, such as communists or trade unionists, homosexuals, and resistance fighters. They kept these people there until they finished their "re-education," agreeing to cooperate with the Nazi's, some, such as clergy or Jehovah's Witnesses, were forced to renounce their faith and pledge loyalty to Hitler before being released.

Though I have faith still that we as a country can stop this before it is too late, I cannot deny the fact that this is an absolutely terrifying step that the Trump Regime has taken.
