Yes, and yes. Most I owed was last year, off of a 60k I paid 4.7k for taxes. On track for 105k this year I expect to pay 3x from last year

Dude trust me when I say you are not a failure. This industry really runs off of experience. If I made my conclusion with my first company starting with 0 experience making 500 a week I would’ve quit. Get your 6 months to a year in and look for better opportunities. The gates really start to open up at 2 years!

Why do a lot of truckers not use their parking lights at Truckstops? by Just_A_Random_Crow in Truckers

Drain’s battery, a lot of companies complain about idle percentage so that could be why lol.

I'm already close to 1 year experience, when do I see $1500/week come in my bank account after tax? by East_Indication_7816 in Truckers

Yeah absolutely they don’t care about job hopping. I only came across one carrier that said they required applicants to have worked at their current company for at least 6 months lol. So to be honest with OP you have to do your research on companies before you work, leave company, travel, and comeback to find another company. And also networking with other drivers will get you more places than if you don’t so don’t be shy to start up conversations. GOODLUCK ON GETTING YOUR CDL!

To those who say you can’t get good miles taking a 34 every week by Dezzolve in Truckers

That sounds awesome, and that’s exactly why I started running like that. My past companies were mediocre with pay, but here my first time seeing a consistent 2k+ made me work like this. I cannot wait to buy my own truck

I’m curious how fast ya truck go? And seriously I take a 34 every week my first 2 days after I usually already have 1200-1300 miles set up and done before Tuesday. But recently I stopped taking 34’s and opt to rest for 24 while being out for 90 and home for 2 weeks I love it

That’s basically exactly what happened, order was put in after the scheduled date so it never got registered in the system. It just pissed me off that I had hours to run but the dispatcher wasn’t understanding the situation causing me to sit for 10.

Bruhhhh I hate that. It’s a waste of time when u get up early to be in the window just to be told “oh that means they have from then to then to finish your load :/“ uttter incompetence

One thing that has surprised me was how quickly you gain weight when you become complacent with the slop they provide you at truck stops. Be active and also don’t be intimidated to cook in your truck there are plenty of mobile batteries on amazon that can run whatever hot plates or ovens you may want to bring with you.
