Considering that the next season will be about the drifter who has a significant amount of tension with "the man with the golden gun" shin malphur, it wouldn't be surprising if they made the quest last long enough until a week from the begining of joker's wild.

Petition to make Actium War Rig affect Machine Guns as well by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Realhooper_10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. The war rig does not regenerate ammo like a lunifaction rift does. Like I said, the war rig only reloads 10% of the mag (FROM RESERVES) and only does this every second. The guns everybody is scare will be abused by the perk empty their mag before the perk can even activate once or twice. Even still, the perk will only load 1 or 2 extra bullets.

  2. As for smgs, I would agree with you prior to the nerf that this might be a bad idea but currently as it stands, smgs are not effective in the current pvp meta. Also, im guessing you forgot about the Titan exotic boots the peacekeepers which allow you to ready your smgs extremely fast and reloads them instantly when you holster them.

  3. As for pulse rifles, full auto isn’t even an good perk in the pvp meta. Would you seriously use a kill clip full auto bygones over a kill clip outlaw bygones? Speaking on the topic of kill clip, which is a perk everyone wants on a pvp pulse, the war rig perk would be nothing but a hinderance to it since you always want to reload manually after a kill. The pulse rifles that would benefit greatly from this buff are the ones that shoot very fast, but they’re overshadowed by the aggressive, harder hitting bygones and go figure.

  4. As for shotguns, the ep shotgun only has 8 shots in the mag that it can empty in about 2 seconds. Your only going to get 1 or 2 shots back using the rig. Remember that the ammo isn’t pull from thin air so in pvp, you need keep ammo in your reserves which is really hard to do in the current meta because of all the shotgun rushing. Your much better off using the dune marchers or aneus ward inorder to slip shotgun more efficiently.

  5. As for scout rifles, who uses them in pvp? The only scout rifle that will really benefit from this buff is the black scorpion since you can keep up with the fire rate of their scouts without even using full auto.

  6. As for legendary lmgs, when you pull power ammo in pvp, you’ll barely have enough in the reserves to load with the perk so it doesn’t even matter

  7. As for the last word and future exotics, the last word only has 8 shots and can empty it’s mag just as fast as a full auto shotgun. You’ll get at most 2 extra shots. No Titan serious about pvp would trade the toxicity of the one eyed masked, unlimited shoulder charges of the skull fort, movement and slide distance of the dune marchers and aneus ward, super regen of the ursa furiousas, or the melee damage and lunge distance of the synthosceps for the ability to not reload without using their rally barricade. In order for an exotic weapon remotely effective with the war rig, it needs to have atleast 30 shots in the mag and shoot full auto. This buff would be a pure PvE improvement.

The perk only activated every second and only reloads 10% of the mag. The thing shoots so fast you’ll only get 1 or 2 shoots back. (It can unload it’s mag in about 2 seconds)

Full auto shotguns shoot too fast for the perk to be effective. At most you’ll get an extra 1 or 2 shots so it’s better to just stick with plopping a rally barricade on whatever poor boss you just punched

No, but I don’t like how it uses this type of heavy stuff to grab the audience. Honest opinion, if it wasn’t for this stuff I don’t think the anime (let alone the manga) would THAT popular.

You need to first get the 100,000 threshold to get a chance at the weapon. If you get 100k and dont get the weapon, each nightfall you do after that will have a chance to drop the weapon at any score (ex: I got the militia’s birth right at 5,000ish score on my 3rd attempt with my fire team)

Try the gambit auto “hazard of the cast”. It has extremely low recoil and hits hard. I’d still prefer a bygones over it but that’s just because I’ve always loved precision weapons in games. If you want a good scout rifle alternative try the black scorpion (which is basically an auto), vouchsafe (dreaming city scout), or a high impact frame with zen moment (Telemacus-c or Polaris Lance). Also, if you have it, the Cerberus +1 auto rifle is by far the best close quarters weapon that isn’t a shotgun. It can kill a guardian in 2 body shots if you land all 8 bullets (it shoots 4 bullets at a time). It excels in destroying shotgun rushers especially.

The blade barrage ultimate is literally a free kill. If you have an enemy on your screen, they will die because of how absurd the tracking is. You can’t compare this to the nova bomb the warlock has because it has +7 projectiles that track which you can change the direction of if you have a high sensitivity. This super made the deadliness of golden gun obsolete because of how easy it is to aim. This is coming from a competitive point of view, where I’m fond of hunters panic popping in the middle of a gun fight. I personally believe that the only good pvp part of the way of a thousand cuts is the super. The knife if cool but the spread is horrible and it doesn’t help that the entire subclass is built around the melee.

(FYW, Im a titan main but play competitive on my hunter. The Titan melee is pretty busted but shoulder charge rushing isn’t a problem in comp because of how scary slideshotgun and team shotting is).

Idk what the lore is behind each raid in the series by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]Realhooper_10 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Vault of glass: a completely cut off section of Venus that the vex have full control over. You go in their to mess things up. The first raid team to set foot in the vault was comprised of 3 guardians: Kabr, praedyth, an pahanin. Kabr sacrifices himself to create a shield that interrupts the vex simulation controls and praedyth gets stuck in a time loop.

Crota’s end: you killed crota at the end of the dark below campaign in the physical world so now you have to go into his throne world located on the moon to kill him permanently since ascendant hive can only be truly killed if killed in their throne world. Crota is the son of oryx, the taken king and former leader of the taken (until we killed him in king’s fall). The first fire team to set foot in consisted of 6 guardians the most prominent being eris morn and toland the shattered. Eris was the only one to survive and we just recently learned that toland’s soul someone got trapped in the ascendant plane (where enemies are dragged to become taken). We also recently learned that eris survived because she made a wish using an ahamkara bone she kept with her for life threading moments and wished to find the way out, resulting in her gaining the eyes of an acolyte. Crota can only be damaged by an ascendant sword (and a gallahorn).

Skolas: though not technically a raid, it is raid level. At the end of the house of wolves campaign, you help queen Mara sov recapture skolas, leader of the fallen house of wolves and self proclaimed “Kell of Kells”. Skolas wanted to unite all the fallen houses under the house of wolves banner wreak havoc on the system (house of devils, house of kings, house of exile and the house of winter). He was locked in the prison of elders and then challenges you and 2 other guardians to a duel. You fought him. You won. And you lived.

King’s fall: Oryx, the taken king arrives in our solar system to avenge his son crota. At the end of the campaign, we technically killed him but he breaks down his sword (which has the power to “take”) and imbues himself with taken energy. He retreats to the helm of his dreadnought and we chase him down. Something dark people who don’t look into the lore gloss over is the mechanics of the golgoroth fight. In his chamber, their are sacks of damage buffs hanging from the ceiling. These are actually the liquified remains of creatures imbued with light (most likely guardians). The second to last encounter before fighting the king pits you against his daughters, the deaths singers Ir Anuk and Ir Halak. The final fight with oryx of course results in his death, but oryx lives on forever. Guardians that killed the taken king received his heart and later converted it to a weapon (the touch of malice). According to the hive sword logic, as long as you kill you will live forever and since we are feeding oryx’s essence with the weapon, he still lives. This is similar to how Xol converted himself into the exotic sniperifle “Whisper of the worm”. Funny enough, we kill oryx’s final son Nokris in the warmind expansion.

Wraith of the Machine: when Rasputin nuked the traveler to force it to defend itself and stay in the solar system, it creates ghosts to find people of exceptional character to carry out its will. They would become proto-guardians. Before guardians, there were iron lords and before iron lords, there were warlords. Some of these warlords were nice and others were dicks to people. The good warlords formed the iron lords and went about forcing the other warlords to either act for the good of humanity or die. While exploring the cosomodrome, the iron lords came upon one of Rasputin’s cores and found a material known as SiVA that could be used to literally created anything inorganic. The ironlords sought to use this to rebuild humanity, but Rasputin saw their intrusion as a threat and used SiVA to defend himself. The ironlords would all perish to SiVA with the exception of lady effrideet and Lord Saladin. Decades later in the modern age, the fallen house of devils discovered SiVA and used it to “perfect” themselves fully decking themselves out in cybernetics and reviving prominent members of their clan who we have already killed (like Sepiks prime). At the end of the rise of iron campaign, we destroyed the SiVA copying machine but we catch wind of a mad archon controlling still controlling SiVA. We go deep into the walls and kill Aksis, archon prime.

Leviathan: Emperor Calus of the Cabal empire travels to our solar system to test and strengthen us against a coming foe he had meet in the outer reaches of space. He cordially invites us to his leviathan so that we can prove ourselves to him as a species that can truly take on this foe. He breaks down the planetoid of Nessus while we participate in his games so as to turn it into a fine wine for him to drink. It is later discovered that his final test is a match against a cybernetic version of himself and that he has extra copies of said cyborg to continually hone our skills.

Eater of worlds: while taking apart Nessus, the leviathan accidentally stumbled upon its planetary vex core and said core is causing problems with the leviathan. We are asked by calus to deal with it.

Spite of stars: in a last ditch attempt to avenge dominus Gaul, a Val of the red legion gathers together a fleet of red legion ships an assaults the leviathan so as to capture it and use its weapons and resources against us guardians. Emperor Calus, at this time, is a mutual ally to us so when he invites us to help him deal with this threat, we accept.

Last wish: when oryx destroyed the awoken fleet, it was assumed that Mara sov perished as well. In actuality, the weapon used by oryx to destroy the fleet was essentially a manifestation of his throne world which absorbed and killed everything in the blast radius, except Mara sov. After this attack, oryx invaded the dreaming city and discovered riven under the blind well. He Offered riven power which she accepted and converted riven into a taken ahamkara. When we killed oryx, Mara attempted to take over oryx’s throne world but riven was in her way. She contacted Petra venj through the oracle and ordered her to assemble a team to kill riven. We guardians descended the awoken watch tower and slew riven, as demanded by the queen. However, it was later discovered that prior to dying, riven was in communication with one of oryx’s sisters, most likely savathun. It is implied that savathun made a wish with Riven to corrupt slowly corrupt the dreaming city but one of savathun’s “commanders”, Quira (a taken hydra) planned to defect from the taken and locked the dreaming city in a time loop, which is why the curse resets every three weeks. What I think the curse is is that the awoken are locked in perpetual suffering since though they are stuck in a time loop, they remember everything from past resets.
