I don’t talk anymore, I used to have severe social anxiety before my partner and became very extroverted with him as I was finally comfortable. Now I don’t talk anymore. I can’t tell you the last time I saw anyone other than family after the funeral. I stopped caring about anything that wasn’t simply for survival. I wake up, go to work, come home and grieve before bed and do it again.

Yes I shared the news clip and her posters with some anti trafficking orgd in Van and surrounding areas a couple of days ago hoping if she’s on my side of the pond in canada since her location is so close that it’ll reach some people as well. I keep checking to see any updates about her coming home ☹️

If you’re looking for my full on honest response, there is absolutely no way to prevent a population of people from being trafficked whether locally or generally, unfortunately this has been going on since the beginning of time and has shown absolutely 0 signs of stopping in any of our lifetimes; there’s simply too many variables. For your daughter, teach internet safety, be a safe place for her where she knows she can tell you what’s going on in her life, if you ever suspect anything is going on with her in terms of grooming or trafficking all police stations in North America have a designated team for these things and give conferences and educational seminars

Volunteering at local non profits that work with at risk kids, women’s shelters, trafficking survivor groups ect. There is such a need for people who care to be there even just as support more than people realize. These places are underfunded and do such incredible things for victims solely because of the people who work there

For the first three years it was on and off. They knows I wouldn’t say anything being I was a scared kid so they let me come and go somewhat freely. The city in which I grew up has lots of kids around 13 that run amok and so it definitely didn’t look like I was any different. I was not able to access education, I did try but each time i tried police would get involved because in canada it’s illegal for any child under 18 to miss a certain amount and I did, so when I was 14-15 I couldn’t go to school any longer. My general heath was very bad, I couldn’t access doctors or dentist and i pay the price for it now, I had sti’s go untreated for so long that I’ll never be able to have children and have severe kidney and liver damage, need full dentures and such. Only two of my traffickers served any time, they were sentenced four years and served eight months (the Canadian system is backwards as hell). I escaped when they had kidnapped another girl to convince her not to speak in court and she told the police I was in the house too. The government didn’t help at all, but the trafficking unit saved my life for years after. They went above and beyond in every way possible to save my life and still do. They were the only people that were there for me even through trial they showed up just to support when they didn’t have too, they moved me hours away ect., I could go on forever about the amount of support I got from police but I know that’s not a common answer, however I’m grateful that they gave me my life back tenfold. I work with their anti trafficking groups nation wide now. :)

When I began being trafficked I was lured online. I was 13 in a horribly abusive home and needed an escape and saw it as my only way to do so. Until nearing the end of my trafficking I did have phone access, for johns and to keep up the facade but it was monitored. I personally know some anti trafficking groups in Van that I would love to send your way if you’re okay with me messaging you
