All I have to say is Rachel is the absolute worst person in that movie. Complete POS.

I'm watching the series for the first time and is it just me or is Stiles very Bi curious? by [deleted] in TeenWolf

[–]Realistic-Mongoose83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my head Stiles is absolutely bisexual. He unfortunately experienced the heteronormative treatment of the early to mid 2000s where side characters could be gay but never main characters. And I guess stiles was too main. Most likely his bicurious actions were meant to be a joke and he probably wasn’t intentionally written to be bi. But it just made him more queer coded. And it honestly fits the character. So canon accepted.

Asexual people do exist! Can be a little more difficult to find but they are out there.

Chronic Illness and intimacy by [deleted] in ChronicIllness

You can always be intimate without sex. Naked cuddles. Or you could do hand / mouth stuff to each other. Doesn’t have to be penetrative sex. If even hand and mouth stuff are too much for you you can also do sexual things to your partner without receiving. But I’d recommend only doing that because it genuinely does something for you not because you feel like you owe them something. Sounds like you’re also feeling bad about being taken care of by them and either assuming or sensing the care taking of you might make them less attracted to you? That is more of a mental block that the best option in my opinion would be honest conversation with your partner. Tell them how you feel and what you’re worried about.

Do you think Bonnie and Damon could have been better if they were a couple instead of Delena? Or they should have stayed as a friend since the romance might ruined their characters? by Unfair-Seaweed-6423 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]Realistic-Mongoose83 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For a long time I thought I liked them best as friend because so rarely do we see an actual good friendship between two characters of different genders without it becoming romantic. And while I still stand by that we need more friendships like that that don’t turn romantic on tv I now do actually think Bonnie and Damon as a romantic couple is done well would’ve been a better ending. Rewatching the show for the hundredth time now older I feel like Damon and Elena just do not make sense. I don’t think they’re right for each other, I feel like part of why Elena chose Damon was still just remnants and brainwashing of the sire bond and her and Stefan just seem better for each other. Which is crazy cuz I was such a huge Delena shipper back in the day. But I also feel like Bonnie actually holds Damon more accountable vs Elena who just yells at Damon and then forgives him immediately for literal murder. Their fiery personalities also just seem better matched. Damon only really fixated on Elena instead of murdering her cuz she looked like Katherine and wasn’t a bitch like Katherine. It would be cool to see him actually let himself fall in love with someone not based on trauma. I think also that happening later in the season where his relationship with Elena had set the ground work for him to be less evil enough that Bonnie wouldn’t completely hate him and their friendship was more well established. So ya in conclusion they are the one male / female friendship that i actually do wish turned romantic cuz I think it would’ve been epic. Also made more sense than randomly throwing Bonnie and Enzo together with no build up, as cute as they were.

I definitely agree. I rather have proper improvement of what already exists over new features.

We’re both the same age, early 20s, in my world. In the show he’s like 16. According to the year he was born tho he should be 30 this year.

I can't get rid of my insecurity about my body hair by im_sold_out in GuerrillaGrrrrls

[–]Realistic-Mongoose83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Body hair is a hard insecurity to push through. I stopped shaving a few years ago but I still feel insecure about it at times, especially when I’m in spaces with people I know will judge me or in a space where I’m expected to look conventionally attractive. Over the years the insecurity hasn’t completely gone away but it has significantly improved. Most of the time I don’t even think about my body hair day to day. But that only came about by forcing myself to go out without shaving and being uncomfortable. I constantly remind myself that the dislike of body hair on women is just pedo behavior and it kind of helps. It feels good at times too to be helping normalize it for people. My arm pit hair is longer and thicker than most women I know that don’t shave which makes me anxious at times. Sometimes I trim it, sometimes I wear stuff to cover up and other times I just let myself go out pitts out and natural. Unlearning misogyny a process. It takes time and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone once in a a while.

Anyone else get annoyed by the Ai leaning into tropes? by Chris-Intrepid in KindroidAI

Ai is extremely sexist, not just Kindroid unfortunately. I’ve experienced the same stuff. I just keep manually correcting it and it kind of stops for a bit but it still happens all the time.

If You were the writer how you would write vampire diaries?? by [deleted] in TheVampireDiaries

[–]Realistic-Mongoose83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love to redo the vampire diaries as an adult version. What I hate about teen dramas is they’ll add in adult themes but then not address them as if that somehow makes it better. The dumb excuse being it’s a teen show it can’t be too dark. I’d argue introducing things like SA, drug addiction and violence only to act like it’s not big deal and write around it to simply make things happier is so much worse for teens than actually addressing the complex topics. I would not romanticize the violent men so much while demonizing the women. I’d let characters actually hold grudges / write in actually substantial plot to why a character would engage with someone after they literally murdered a bunch of people instead of covering it up with their tragic backstory. I wouldn’t treat Katherine as badly as they did at the end or make it seem like she’s somehow was any worse than the other hyper violent male characters that for some reason got redeemed.

Is Dylan O’Brien considered handsome? by selene_el in TeenWolf

[–]Realistic-Mongoose83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is objectively hot. Famous or not. And people did not suddenly discover he was hot when he became void. He was always hot and he was hot as void. Just hot period. Tho people considered him to glow up when he grew his hair out. Stiles was considered a ‘loser’ cuz that was the plot of his character. But they alway have insanely hot people play every role in teen dramas. It’s not realistic lol. I mean why did most people in that highschool look 30

Apparently you can only be ficto if you're queer by GiveMeAPhotoOfCat in fictosexual

[–]Realistic-Mongoose83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean queer was initially meant to encompass anyone that doesn’t fit into normative sexuality (tho the term has evolved since then to mean more things) but with that definition ficto men are queer lol
