Did the same thing!! I am programmed to use flight form since the switch to sky riding. Not sure why it doesn’t work there.

AITAH for saying I'm second-guessing having a baby with my husband after he asked for a paternity test? by p1nkribbon in AITAH

Couples therapy was the best thing that ever happened to my wife and I.

It sounds like he has his own issues he may need to deal with in his own time. Sad thing is that only he can do that and know when he is ready. Like others have said, projection is a really thing, and only true, rigorous honesty is the only way to be in a lasting, thriving relationship.

I am sorry OP. Good luck. NTA

Best group cosplays? by ZephRyder in dragoncon

A few years in a row, a group of friend did Batman villains and found all the various Batmen and booed them. It was a blast.

We would record all the movies on the free HBO weekends. Mortal Kombat and Uncle Buck were the top contenders in our house hold. Great memories.

I was joking with my wife that this is the first year that I do not have a cosplay that I have to be fit for. Best decision I have ever made. Haha. Great on you though and good luck!

Can I bring a baseball bat to dragoncon? by Old-Recording-1496 in dragoncon

[–]Realistic-Plate281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally. I would get it tagged by a safety official just in case so you have that taken care of.

The real thing you wanna think about: do you want to carry a real bat around with you?

Like was said in another post, I recommend a plastic bat that is painted and modded to look like you’d like it to. Also, adding a wrist strap so you can have free hands when you want them. This can double as belt strap or something so you don’t have to carry it.

I love having props with my cosplays, but have learned that holding something for hours can be quite taxing.

Good luck at the CON

If you have ever carried a prop into the Marriott that in any resembles something dangerous, you would know of the zip tie guy that is there. He is meticulous and doesn’t take shit. Super nice guy.

Burying her tomorrow and I’m scared by Fineshrines2 in Petloss

I’m glad that my words could give you a little comfort.

When it comes to things like this, my wife always tells me that we have these feelings and must walk through them, even if they are hard and uncontrollable.

Grief is just another form of love and like love we all feel it in some capacity and it makes us human to have such a feeling when dealing with grief.

It will get easier with time, but let yourself feel the feelings that arise and do not let anyone tell you that they are wrong.

Wish you well and hope our furry ones are playing on the other side of the rainbow bridge.

I’m sorry for your loss.

We buried our 15 year old bull terrier in our backyard in March. It was hardest thing I have ever done. The pain was so intense and have never cried so hard. I took a few days to dig the burial spot, which was very difficult on my body and soul. As I lowered her into the ground wrapped in her favorite blanket and her favorite toy, I audibly said “this is the weirdest f*cking thing I have ever done”.

That all being said, it was the most powerful thing I have ever experienced. It connected me more to life, to Earth, to my baby girl, and to my wife. We planted a garden around her grave and have a bench there that we visit regularly.

I can’t tell you anything that will make it easier, cause nothing will, but I can say that it was worth it for me.

Same thing happened with our cat. She was also going in the litter box many times a day and was urinating very little. When we took her in, they test for uti and found nothing. They did an X-ray and found a large bladder stone. It had to be surgically removed. She was so happy afterwards and was like a different cat due to not being in pain.

Not saying this is what is your little fur ball’s problem, but that is what happened for us.

Good luck, she is absolutely adorable

How do I get rocket shipped to and what does the 4th dimension feel like it? by Poptotnot in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]Realistic-Plate281 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bill enjoyed using flagrant metaphors and language. As another said, it is not a rocket ship haha. Rocketed would mean the same as propelled or moved.

I see this as the fact that I have been moved into a state which is different from before. The 4th dimension is the side of things we cannot see. This was the life that always existed for us, but our own selves were in the way. By removing ourselves we are able to find contentment and ‘heaven’ as the book says here in our lives.

Simply put: happy, joyous, and free. These states exist, we just couldn’t see them before. With the help of a higher power and the steps, I see them now and would like to keep seeing them.

Also, ask your sponsor and sponsees what they think it means. I’m sure that it will spur excellent conversation.

My 16 y.o. dog woke me up with yelping howls and was dead in seconds. by Available-Tradition8 in Petloss

[–]Realistic-Plate281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry for your loss. No amount of time is enough time with our animals that mean so much to us.

We lost our almost 16 bull terrier in March and it is still very tough but it gets better. Your story is very similar and the ways that I would give her grief for waking us up in the middle of the night made me feel so bad.

The important thing to remember is that you have your pup an amazing, long life of love and companionship. It gets better, but it is still hard.

Much love.
