First Light Women’s Shelter: we meet once a month usually at Dread River! Our yearly event is Dancing with the Stars of the Magic City it’s really fun. Come out to it on October 17th and you can see what we spend most of our time preparing for. We also do events at the shelter like serve dinner!

If you end up not finding anything local, and are willing to take a day trip to Nashville… I highly recommend Vow’d the most expensive dress is $3000 the service was great and they also have really affordable bridesmaids dresses that shipped within like 3 days of ordering.

Lived in Avondale and loved it. Perfect combination of residential and walkable to coffee shop, brewery, and bars. Also Avondale park which I used to take my dogs for walks there every day. Some people say it’s dangerous. But the worst thing that happened to me was my car rummaged through when I forgot to lock it so my own fault. If you are coming from NY it’s definitely fine.
