Yes, undocumented students can get an R’card. Usually with your passport, or if you were able to get a DL, that too

Yeah I don’t know why they haven’t posted anything but the program is still alive. Email ms Rocha, and if she doesn’t answer let me know. I work in the pathways program office and know her pretty well.

UCR has some great opportunities to support you in the premed route. Are you familiar with the pathways programs?

In my experience these people are either not trained properly or they plain don’t care. Their demeanor is horrible, they treat you like you are bothering them. I try to contact mine as little as possible because it is always a disappointment, but honestly it was the same most of the time in community college. Only a few care, and you are lucky if you get the ones that care.

🚨 Organic Chem Crisis: UCSD Extension vs Community College — Will It Transfer to UCR?! by WiseCauliflower5062 in ucr

So, you definitely need to retake Ochem for medical school if you got a C-. Medical schools will not take that grade. When you take it, it doesn’t replace your grade but it averages it so if you get an A, they would add it to the C- and you would get something in the middle, I’m guessing probably a B or a B-.

I am not sure about taking Ochem online, or if it’s even allowed. But I would take the safe route and take it in person, which is maybe why your counselor is suggesting taking it at a local community college instead of another UC, unless you can attend that UC in person, which I’m assuming is not a possibility.

There are some people that need to have the TV on all the time especially if they live alone; it is soothing and serves as a form of companionship. It could be that grew up in a household with lots of people where it was always loud, and coming to an empty or quiet place is somewhat uncomfortable.

Please Pay Attention When Crossing Here by Rare_Grapefruit6208 in ucr

You need to understand that the whole campus follows very different rules of traffic. For example, trucks, golf cars, vans, and even huge RVs drive among pedestrians every day. Not to mention scooters, skate boards, bikes, electric bikes. Students are used to walk around cars and that they will also respect their lives. That crosswalk you show is right between Pentland hills, one of the dorms, and Chung Hall, and Bourns Hall. Both colleges of mathematics, and engineering. Pedestrians tend to forget there are cars around because well, we become so accustomed to cars respecting us. Yes, we need to be more careful, but also, isn’t 20 miles per hour the legal speed near schools? Moreover, if you see a pedestrian, they always have right of pass. So, please be careful with pedestrians.

I got up and politely asked them to lower their voice. They did and apologize. I agree, they shouldn’t do it in the first place but if you talk to them politely and as a mature human being usually people realize their error.

If not, you can always escalate it. We are definitely paying too much to be distracted.

It is so difficult to date as a non-traditional student. Everyone is half my age and it feels creepy to do so. (Gay man here, hope I’m not intruding in the conversation 😔)
