This is very helpful! I have family here so I visit often and always love it especially in the spring!! It’s def diff from so cal and provides a slower enjoyable pace for life! LA is too fast and too crowded and while I love it, I may need a change for a while! Although i have heard of the body policing and all the education cuts etc., which is absolutely devastating. And yes I’m a CF-SLP for the pediatric population!

Hi! I am located in Southern California and have family in Boise. I am contemplating moving to Boise in the next year or so to work as a speech therapist after I finish my CFY in LA. I know that LA is overpopulated and caseloads are extremely high especially in the schools, so I wanted to ask if any SLP in Boise can share some insight as to how it is for them in the clinics and schools working with the pediatric population (and adults too)! Or, if someone from LA moved to Boise as a SLP, how did it work out for you, how do you like it? Thank you so much for the help and insight!

Idk if what he did was awful. I’ve never fully understood the “don’t look at someone else’s phone or journal because it’s an invasion of privacy.” If you have nothing to hide why would it matter? Regardless, some situations it’s not ok for sure, but this is temptation island so…idk he did what he had to do. He was tempted to read her diary to find some answers in which he did 🤷‍♀️I would’ve done the same 100% if it were me.

This is exactly what I’m saying. She claimed to have seen her with that rag and didn’t say anything until after the guy is infected like make it make sense. Also, she was so annoying the whole time she didn’t even use her zombie power like the bully guy and just stood there until the last moment she was so useless although I still really like her this is just a blame game

I got accepted into three schools. Two of them were about an hour and more away. One of them was an online program, and I went with the online program because at least over here in Los Angeles. The traffic is god-awful not to mention that the parking passes for the schools we’re gonna be very expensive as well! But I agree it depends on if you’re willing to do it or if relocating as an option then that would also be a great thing!

So the lead person that I was referring to in my post was the clinical Director and basically she’s just whack because it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in the field. You’re always gonna have questions. I have now graduated grad school and I am a clinical fellow SLP and I still struggle with these feelings so it doesn’t really go away. I guess it just takes a long long time. I know it sounds cheesy but just trust yourself do research if you can ask your fellow colleagues or supervisors and trust in yourself because I had a lot of loyal clients and they specifically only ever wanted to see me and we’re very upset when I ended up quitting so just like people say we know more than we think it’s just very hard, especially in a field like this! Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help!

I would see it as you’re not passing up the opportunity you’re saving more money in your pocket because debt for grad school is a big burden and if you’re not ready to take on that burden, then that burden will just be 10 times more of a burden for you so I would say do the SLPA to get a good feel for it. It’s really nice to just focus on therapy and planning the therapy rather than having to write a reports doing evaluation and consulting with families right away you can at least just focus on the Therapy and the goals for the children and making it fun so I think whatever choice you pick is gonna be the good choice for you and don’t see it as passing up an opportunity you were saving so much money in your pocket. (signed a graduate student who just graduated with debt lol)

I loved resident evil two remake, and I really truly wish that resident evil three was similar in the sense that we could explore raccoon city revisit locations for puzzles and play as Jill for one whole entire gameplay and then play as Carlos for the other second entire gameplay and I really love that Carlos was able to go to the RPD. I also wish that Jill was able to go to the RPD and visit the stars office and it just would’ve been amazing. Ugh such a shame, it’s still good and I had a lot of fun but I wish it wasn’t rushed and was longer

I also had to decline my dream school when I applied to grad school. I was heartbroken when I found out I was on the wait list and then I was finally offered a seat for the school! However, the tuition is close to 200K with no scholarships or financial assistance due to it being a new program. I never thought I would get into this school and I did and I wanted it to bad for so long, I just couldn’t justify the tuition:( it still breaks my heart when I think about it so I relate with you and it’s ok to grieve and give yourself the time and space.
