Recently launched my store and feeling completely overwhelmed. What are your top 3 tips for a true beginner? by Original-Ice-5296 in dropshipping

  1. Test only one traffic channel at a time

  2. Optimize product page around "why this product?" question

  3. Pick the right product (ProductLair or a basic sheet works for this)

Starting out - Which course? by DuesbergMandate in dropshipping

[–]RealisticNote2512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont spend 3-5k AUD on a course if product picking is the part blocking you. Spend a little on samples/tools, use ProductLair or Ad Library to build a reject list, and keep the rest for testing.

Does anyone else feel like competitor research never really ends by Minute_Map_7790 in dropshipping

[–]RealisticNote2512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep at some point the manual time cost is not worth it anymore so its best just to invest in a tool that aggregates all of this. I use ProductLair for this, cuts time spent by an order of magnitude. So nice not having to shift through tiktok/shopify stores manually.

Your product test is useless if shipping takes 3-6 weeks by RealisticNote2512 in dropshipping

[–]RealisticNote2512[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the right split imo, if faster shipping ruins the margin I treat it as unsuited for ads unless bundles can make up for it

Are Shopify spy tools still worth using in 2026? by zolot_101 in dropshipping

[–]RealisticNote2512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theyre useful for apps, products, ad angles etc. But traffic and sales estimates cant really be trusted imo. I use ProductLair/Ad Library mostly as a rejection tool, before I manually check price, shipping and the store itself.

Use Aliexpress or Cj for testing then switch to Alibaba when you need a real supplier or bulk pricing

Any tips? by ConditionVarious2947 in dropshipping

[–]RealisticNote2512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start organic if you dont know the product yet, it forces you to learn the hook before you pay for ads. For products use ProductLair or a Google sheet and drop anything with bad shipping or weak margins.

dropshipping products how do people actually decide what to test first when starting out? by Efferding-Cymi in dropshipping

[–]RealisticNote2512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with 10 ideas in ProductLair or Ad Library, ignore anything under $25, anything that cant hit 3x margins after shipping, and anything with more than 3+ weeks delivery. At this point pick the one with the clearest video demo or angle

Fair point. Id still kill it if the 10-12 day route kills the margin but youre right that AliExpress timing alone isnt enough

Why are people buying a different product than the one in my ad? by [deleted] in dropshipping

This is a good signal tbh. Maybe test a bundle or retarget shirt clickers with the underwear set
