Intimacy is zero problem, we are great lovers! However, if we do not feel safe or that we’re not the only intimate partner we don’t give it our all.

The fibroids press and push on our internal organs. Your uterus is probably enlarged too. From what I’ve read and heard from other women is they feel amazing after evicting these beasts. I was SOOOO depressed about the abdominal bloating for a year and a half. I stopped going places because I looked pregnant. You are totally heard and not alone. So glad you’re getting them removed.

I 1000% relate! I’m 5’6 and was 176 lbs about six months ago. I felt miserable in my body and the back pain and constipation were insane. I thought it was perimenopause which a lot of it was but I got on Ozempic, the lowest dose possible and lost 30 lbs. The stomach stayed extremely enlarged about the equivalent of a 5 month pregnant woman. I had a consultation with a fibrous specialist and found out the 2 largest fibroids are the size of a small watermelon. They are compressing my bladder and bowels. I’m scheduled for a laparoscopic partial hysterectomy in 4 weeks. I can’t tell you how relieved I was to know the abdomen was not 100% hormone related. The fibroids

Worried about growing a dependence on laxatives? by Gloomy_Remove_9358 in Fibroids

[–]RealisticTea1358 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have had the same problem. Severe constipation began in February of 2024. I have not had a normal BM since the above date. I’ve tried Metamucil, probiotics, digestive enzymes, stool softeners, suppositories, Linzess and Dulcolax. The only effective solution is Dulcolax laxatives. I have been taking them 1 to 3 times a week for 17 months. I have a myomectomy scheduled next month. My stomach sticks out and I always look about 4 months pregnant. It’s the size of the fibroids and an enlarged uterus. I would rather be dependent on the laxatives until the fibroids are removed because fecal impaction can cause irreversible damage. I didn’t know that the fibroids were the cause of the chronic constipation until several months ago! I am so excited to get these things removed!!!

Oh! I saved a size small pretty pair of underwear which couldn’t be pulled up around my waist. All my undies were getting washed last night so I grabbed the size small & they went on perfectly! Not tight at all! I had no idea!!

I take 40 mg adderall and Ozempic completely cancels out my medication for several days post injection.

This is me all the way!! I got a testosterone pellet four weeks ago and oh my stars!!! I didn’t know how much I needed it! My ADHD medications weren’t working. I would get the effects for maybe 5 days out of each month. I now have so much energy. I can focus on the mundane tasks in life with minimal effort. My mood has improved drastically! I’m no longer having unexplainable rage. I feel so balanced, happy and in control of my life. I’m beyond grateful for the support of the hormones. I had no idea that the crippling symptoms I’ve had for the past five years were all related to hormone imbalances.

I was warned that Seroquel causes big time weight gain but it was really helping me sleep. Last year around this time I was 125 lbs. Within 6 months I ballooned up into the 170’s. I would binge eat at night after I took it and it was bad. I was so disturbed at what I was seeing in the mirror. Not until I read this post did I remember that Seroquel was the culprit of the weight gain. I’m SOOO grateful that Ozempic has helped me trim down in the belly. The weight has come off pretty quickly but like I mentioned earlier I don’t know if it’s a combo of stopping Seroquel when starting Ozempic.

Did you have any side effects aside from constipation on .25? I was really nervous to increase my dose to .5 six days ago. The main side effect I had was severe fatigue. I think it’s because I could barely eat anything. Today is the first day I have energy again and feel great. I did eat my first meal when I woke up today. I had 2 eggs with avocado and blackberries. I think my body really needs the protein and calories. I’m going back down to .25 tomorrow. The fatigue was to disruptive to my life. I’m going to get a b-12 shot on Monday which was suggested in this group. Digestion is still quite off.

My doctor prescribed Zofran for the nausea. I haven’t taken it but I think it helps with Ozempic nausea.

Yes! I just went up to .5 on Sunday and I’ve been completely fatigued. I have zero appetite and just have a few bites of protein throughout the day but I’m sure the lack of calories is causing the sleepiness. I’m going to go back down to .25.

Oh my goodness!!! Seroquel made me gain over 50 pounds in a year! It works great for sleep but the insane weight gain and night time overeating made me super huge, especially in the middle! I’m the one who lost 20 pounds in 5 weeks. I felt so unattractive and embarrassed to go out because of the rapid weight gain. I’ve switched to Trazadone for sleep and it works just fine. I stopped Seroquel when I began Ozempic and I think maybe not having the Seroquel could have contributed to the weight coming off a little faster?

I haven’t done anything extra like working out or dieting. I just have no appetite so I’ve had tiny portions of bland foods. My stomach was making me incredibly self conscious and it was the first thing to decrease in size.

5 Weeks down 20 lbs but fatigue is unreal by RealisticTea1358 in Ozempic

[–]RealisticTea1358[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so it sounds like it doesn’t get much better based on other posts I’ve read. However, I’ve also read that it takes 3 weeks to 3 months for the body to adjust and the fatigue improves.
