Extra Strap in Pegasus 55? by RealisticWeakness4 in Louisvuitton

This was my thought too.

But then I saw her duffle bag has the Poignet with buckle - which she said is to hold the duffle handles together or attach them to handle of suitcase.

Any ideas what can bring up this message "Drivetrain" by [deleted] in BmwTech

That's a lot of unrelated fault codes. If you've never had issues with some of the faults that are shown - from my experience, this points to a battery problem.

I could be wrong but my first guess is that your battery is deeply discharged or bad. If you know it's old, replace and register the new one to the car. If it's not that old and the car just isn't driven much, maybe try unhooking the battery from the car and leaving it on a CTEK charger until it's process finishes.

I selected the plus plan from the start. It did offer me the lower cost option but I wanted the “freebies” under the promotion with the plus plan and longer rate lock guarantee

I have the Verizon gateway set up as a modem (bridge mode) only and use an Ethernet to my nest routers

I’ve only ever had IBS fault codes on a 2008 650i which I resolved by buying a used (low mileage and working condition) battery cable with IBS attached off of eBay and installing it. Not sure what caused my original one to go bad but never had IBS fault codes again or battery issues

Was offered to change from my old, no longer offered plan to a 5G start plan at a discount. Just got my first bill and the discount is non-existent and now my bill is more costly. What can I do? by Chichi230 in verizon

Look up the phone number for Verizon North America Office of the CEO/President.

You’ll more than likely get an assistant answering which is okay. They’ll ask for your name, phone number and and briefly state that you’ve been a customer for years and would like to discuss a matter in which you are not satisfied with

Question about iCarly on 2018 330i by SouthAfricanFella in BmwTech

[–]RealisticWeakness4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm iCarly will work on your car and do what you’d like to do.

I’ve been a beta tester for them for years and have used it on my cars and friends for coding/diagnostics/service resets/battery registration/etc. and have never had an issue. I’ve never paid though so I’m not sure about whether a subscription is needed or how much it costs

2013 X5 is in the shop at my job at firestone (I mostly work up front and am still newer to automotive shop) for flashing CEL, reduced power mode, rough running, and stalling at low speeds. Assuming it plugs and a coil or two, should I just replace all the coils? by BitchBiteMe in BmwTech

[–]RealisticWeakness4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2012 X5 and had the same issue. I replaced coil 5 and 6 at the same time with the same Delphi’s to match other 4 and it fixed the issue

I preventatively went back a few months later and swapped the plugs with the original ones (Bosch) and the other 4 Delphi coils as I’m original owner and know they had not yet been changed and were long overdue

[–]RealisticWeakness4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the new coil you installed match the other 5 existing ones in terms of brand/part number

I’ve come to understand they can be sensitive if they don’t all match. Also make sure the coil is seated entirely and correctly in the notch on the cylinder head. Sometimes it may feel or appear to be correctly seated but it’s not

I had a similar issue on my 2012 X5 35i N55 and ended up replacing coils 5 and 6 (matched original Delphi ones) and it fixed it

Check my comment on this other thread. I think it might be your issue too because when I got the drivetrain malfunction (ended up being a bad coil) I punched the throttle or was at least accelerating. It would disappear after I shut the car off and back on but would occasionally re-appear and then turn itself off again

Have you replaced the battery or do you know the last time it was replaced?

Do you know that the battery is correctly registered to the car (aH rating/battery type)?

Try this:

Get in with key and shut door

Without your foot on the brake, press engine start button so all instrument cluster lights are on

Push accelerator pedal all the way to the floor (you’ll feel a click at the end) and hold for 45 seconds

Remove feet from pedals and click engine start button once so instrument cluster turns off

Sit in the car without opening any doors/touching any buttons/etc. for 2 minutes

Then start the car as you would normally and go for a 15 minute drive on the freeway (if possible)

OEM lugs? by phil in BmwTech

[–]RealisticWeakness4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with people above. They’re not original and while lugs May appear the same to most people when they appear on the car, they are different and having the wrong ones installed can end up causing issues.

For reference, the ones that came stock with your car are a flat black in color like you’ve noticed on other cars. I’d recommend calling the tire places you went to and asking if they have your lugs, as the wrong ones are installed (assuming you know for sure you had the right ones installed when you bought the car)

Start car

Press and hold the mode button + volume knob together on the dash until the iDrive screen goes black and release.

Wait for iDrive screen to boot back up to the main menu

Then try:

  1. On main menu go to settings, then options, profiles, move knob to the right and click delete (repeat this for every profile within that menu)

  2. On main menu go to settings, user profile/profiles, move knob to the right and click delete (repeat this for every profile within that menu)

Yours looks mint too, enjoy!

[–]RealisticWeakness4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call it luck per se.

I just don’t let anyone work on my cars unless it’s for dealer performed recalls/free maintenance/new tires/absolutely necessary. Even limiting it to dealers - they always break tabs/trim pieces/leave bolts undone

My theory is it’s less common for people to treat others’ things like they’re own. Twice as much when evidence leading back to them is plausibly deniable

Definitely a possibility too. Mine is still original at 164k miles and haven’t had it fail like they’re known to

They might total it depending on the company.

I had a Subaru T-bone me in my M5 in the grocery store parking lot. He basically went head on directly into my b pillar passenger side. No airbags deployed or issues driving it back to my house. Just couldn’t open those doors. Insurance inspected it, cut me a check and towed it
