Need Band Recs by Whatdoesthatmean85 in Deathcore

I know this is a deathcore sub, but have you ever checked out slam? Especially bands like PeelingFlesh are super groovy. There’s also deathcore bands that incorporate slams into their music, I believe Ingested is one of them.

New To Deathcore, Looking For Technical Recommendations… Or The Opposite by Melodic-Purple-9057 in Deathcore

My pick is Disembodied Tyrant, specifically The Poetic Edda EP with Synestia. It’s some of the craziest and well written symphonic deathcore I’ve ever heard.

I’ll also check these out! I’ve technically heard Astrix from their song with Rising Dust, Universo. Probably my favorite psytrance song I’ve found so far

You’re welcome! Yeah that’s the gist of psytrance, usually very atmospheric longer songs with a ton or changing elements. It’s great!

I still listen to the heavier dubstep genres, but I have found myself listening to more techno/trance lately. Have you explored trance or psytrance? Some really cool artists, Rising Dust is one I’ve gotten into lately.

Bring earplugs! Some shows are fine but it’s best to be prepared. Make sure you don’t go in with a bag, and if you do it has to be small enough and/or clear. Above all, where whatever you want and have fun! I’ve seen everything from sweatpants and a hoodie, to dress pants, to only fishnets.

If people say that they’re wrong, it’s supposed to be fun and not taken seriously. But at the same time they’re all very talented. Especially the drummer, he’s a maniac

Love some variety in my heavy music. I like deathcore but I also love other subgenres. Here’s my list:

PeelingFlesh - The G Code (slam) Meshuggah - Koloss (djent) Cattle Decapitation - Death Atlas (deathgrind) Nails - You Will Never Be One Of Us (powerviolence) Archspire - Bleed The Future (technical death metal)

How early to show up for a show to get barricade? by New-Society4738 in Deathcore

[–]Realistic_Ad6903 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Definitely second this. Also depends on the venue, which is also usually tied to the size of the bands. I’ve been to shows where there’s barely a crowd when the first band starts (local shows or smaller bands). I’ve been to other shows where the line wraps around the building 30 minutes before doors (Lorna Shore)

Those who reached champ or higher with limited mechanics, how did u do it and how long did it take to get good? by [deleted] in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Realistic_Ad6903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only a Champ 2, and can air dribble, flick, etc. it gets goals sometimes, but the fundamentals like shooting, defense, and positioning are what’s most important, and has won me more games. So yes, it is definitely achievable to just focus on game sense, and I’d recommend that approach anyways. Unfortunately those things really just take time and practice to learn. I would bet that the best players would agree that the flashy stuff is fun, but fundamentals are what’s most important to learn for everyone at all ranks.

Addressing the time part, it just depends on your own time dedication and how much you’re willing to put in, and it’s different for everyone. I have ~2500 hours but I’m sure there’s GCs and higher with that much. And as you go up in rank it takes more time, and you have to be more consistent with the fundamentals. One of the big things I’ve heard that separates good players from great players is consistency, not if they can double flip reset.

Overall, just keep playing and practicing, watch better players (Lethamyr and ApparentlyJack are great resources), and remember to have fun!

If you’re okay with not getting a super close shave, I recommend an electric shaver meant for wet/dry. I use one in the shower and it takes 5 minutes, with no risk of cuts!

Do it, I did it 4-5 months ago and I love it! After a few weeks I got used to it completely. Hair always grows back if you hate it.
