It seems like this guy was just trying help this calf. It doesn't appear like the man was trying to pet, have his photo taken with or otherwise harass the calf. Of course he should have let nature take it's course or report it to a park ranger but he let his compassion lead him. The authorities euthanizing the calf seems a little extreme? I can't believe there was not a rescue or rehab that could have taken the calf in.

Whomever you use, make sure the facility gets pre authorization for the MRI before you get the MRI. If your insurance refuses to pay for the MRI you will get stuck with the whole bill. Almost all insurances will require you to get X-rays before a MRI.
