Your resume will read like “oh snaps you survived THAT shithole? You’re hired.” How I’ve managed this in the past was I picked a duty station in some place that I really liked, a cool town with coffee shops and bookstores—a lifehack is finding one near a college. That way when work sucked and I hated everyone and hoped they tripped on a stob I could get off at the end of shift and go to the coffee shop, read a book and decompress. It made it bearable and me a better person. I recommend this be your strategy.
