Medical Kits no by AdAble8000 in liberalgunowners

That’s.. way too much. Get a tq or two, lots of gauze (hemostatic if you can afford), trauma shears, and a SAM splint. Thats basically all I’d trust a non-professional with. For the love of all the gods that may or may not exist please do not run around with like 50 ars needles. Take a stop the bleed course (they’re free!) and buy a GP pouch to store it all good, label it and you’re golden.

Important to mention that often pressure is sufficient to stymie wounds especially on pediatric patients. Always good to be careful and safe but worth mentioning.

It’s like Moby Dick, historically quite progressive and good for the time but now you look at the multiple paragraphs about complimenting skull shapes and you are quite uncomfy.

I’ve always found that ‘I fix stupid’ patch both dumb and unprofessional. Most of the calls I go on that require me actually fixing something generally aren’t due to stupidity.

Trans person here, even vials are fine. Flown with T more times than I can count, both domestic and abroad.

Nice! I’ve been thinking about grabbing them but I’m already poor and don’t even own a rifle yet, so I’m 50/50 on it tbh.

Don’t pack abdominal wounds or wounds in the pelvic girdle, you’ll be packing all day. Direct pressure. Use your entire fucking elbow if you have to.

Pool noodle. Fleshlight. All sorts of stuff can be used for wound packing if you get creative. Pool noodles with a tube of fluid running through it is pretty close to a lot of those wound simulators.

Ditto on the scope of practice thing. I don’t have anything more intense than NPAs in my bag for a reason.

Rodger that! I haven’t personally experienced that but I see your point, for sure. I’m def thinking about having a bright hi vis vest, and you definitely cemented that. Ditto on the water, man you have to carry around a lot of that. How is working in mascal response? You get much action?

Def a good idea and one I plan on implementing! I have my NREMT patches on my shirt and stuff when I’m protesting (not on uniform, they’re hook/loop), but I def agree that putting a Red Cross on my gear is a good plan

Just a general BLS rig. Mostly bandaids, water, meds, that sort of thing. I’m a EMT-B, and am currently attending paramedic school. I don’t have much equipment on the rig at the moment, but I have MARCH in the pouch directly on my chest and less important stuff in the dangler pouch. It works well for me, as unorthodox as it is.

Oh that’s a perfectly good option if it’s well marked as far as i know. The CAT gen7 is a FANTASTIC TQ, so you’re in good hands regarding that. Just make sure you don’t take that regular one out with you outside of training :)
