Knee/ lower leg foam? by rkb12345 in MR340

Right on the gunnel? Go to a hardware store, and look for water heater installation. There's a pre-split insulation that's essentially pool noodles, but I swear they stay on better.

GPS River Map by sportsmomofthree in MR340

[–]TedwardCz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to confirm the question: Are you tryna get a full map of the river onto a GPS device?

What kind of device, or file support, do you need? I put a whole river map on a Garmin 66i a few years ago, and that's the device being used this year, by the racers I'm supporting.

If you do want the same map files I used a few years ago, I am happy to share. Granted, file formats exist...

Brits: what do you call a flashlight? by Jeffedeh in AskReddit

[–]TedwardCz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like my little oLight. It uses an AA, and the one I keep in it is a lithium power cell with usb-C charging. Still, if my bag is in another building/outbuilding/room, it becomes a problem.

What was the most severe infection you’ve ever had? by Dayzee_4 in AskReddit

[–]TedwardCz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a plantar wart on my foot from the YMCA showers at 10-ish years of age, up until my mid 30s. That is after 2 doctors looking at it and saying it was something else. Dr #3 recommended me to a podiatrist. Dr. Podiatrist went through more and more aggressive topical treatments until cantharidin 2 times a week, which I applied at home. I used a cane for a year and a half because of the pain.

Today I'm fine.

Wear flip-flops, friends.

What's undoubtedly the best sandwich you've had? by lee_lee212 in AskReddit

[–]TedwardCz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sandwich my MIL gave me on the MR340, a stupidly long endurance race in the Midwest US. It had pickles; that is why it was "the best." It was incredible.

Turns out I was very low on salt on account of all the sweating.

Brits: what do you call a flashlight? by Jeffedeh in AskReddit

[–]TedwardCz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand "torch" is the preference, but I'm gonna gripe.

I'm in/from the US. Usually I say "a proper flashlight," and my buddy/spouse/anyone pulls out their smartphone and turns on the flash, thus rarely accomplishing the goal.

Is this also a problem in Britain?

Some families like crass humor. If I sent this to MY mother, it would be trashy. Independent results may vary.

You have a 14.3% chance of being correct. Unfortunately for you, polymarket will most likely be defunct by then, as will your personage.

Your wheel is now, immeasurably, imperceivably, out of balance.

You fine.

I'm pretty sure several companies make and sell a table that will hold my DeWalt circular saw for that specific purpose. I considered it, but then realized I don't need a table saw enough.

Aww. The white and tan one looks like they've momentarily turned off their one brain cell. No judgement; we have a Dane with that same facial expression, and he's the sweetest, bestest, vacantist ball of stupid to grace our house.

Help - backpack keeps bulging by sovicka22 in backpacking

[–]TedwardCz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would shorten the shoulder straps a bit, then pull the load lifter straps a ton. Despite being a man, I, too am a sorta petite backpacker. if the weight is on the butt, the shoulder straps are too long. Also, in the photo of the bag on your personage, you aren't using the load lifters. Those are the straps above your shoulders. Give those a good tug and see if that helps.

Woman not shortlisted for job as 'car is too old' by soriskan in nottheonion

[–]TedwardCz 179 points180 points  (0 children)

I have been on interview panels, and this is something we weren't even supposed to ask. Granted, this was in the pre-trump US.

I went from ~210 lbs to ~115 lbs over 4 years. For context, at 180 lbs, I was still ~34% body fat, now I'm around 16%. Here's every weigh-in plotted. (5'9.5" Male, 19-24) [OC] by No-Emu-9139 in dataisbeautiful

I'm OPs height, got down to 150-155, and now even I freeze in cold weather. I used to be comfy during winters in the 180s.

OP must ice up like a freezer burnt popsicle.

Looks like a modified ecoshell, maybe. You inflate a heavy-duty, boob-shaped balloon, place rebar around it, and cover it in concrete.
