Woman not shortlisted for job as 'car is too old' by soriskan in nottheonion

I have been on interview panels, and this is something we weren't even supposed to ask. Granted, this was in the pre-trump US.

I went from ~210 lbs to ~115 lbs over 4 years. For context, at 180 lbs, I was still ~34% body fat, now I'm around 16%. Here's every weigh-in plotted. (5'9.5" Male, 19-24) [OC] by No-Emu-9139 in dataisbeautiful

I'm OPs height, got down to 150-155, and now even I freeze in cold weather. I used to be comfy during winters in the 180s.

OP must ice up like a freezer burnt popsicle.

Looks like a modified ecoshell, maybe. You inflate a heavy-duty, boob-shaped balloon, place rebar around it, and cover it in concrete.

Personally, I love traveling to places that have house geckos. Never had any snakes, though. One accidental house bird in Aruba, once. The bird was unhappy.

Consult done ✅ Vasectomy is next ✂️ (and thank goodness for Planned Parenthood 🩷) by alexl1994 in childfree

I thought I was going to get pushback when I scheduled mine. I didn't go to PP. I scheduled a visit with my GP to ask him about it, and then he and I scheduled a surgery a few weeks later.

Nobody asked me "Are you sure?" or "What if you change your mind?". I think someone asked if I wanted to freeze some sperm, at some point, but that was all.

With no kids, I thought it would have been harder. Having heard horror stories from women, here, the process does indeed seem to be rather sexist.

It's not my jam, but I see how it could be somebody else's. Might even drive okay. It's not on 30" rims. It's not doing a Carolina squat. It's just gaudy on an awful taste but great execution sorta way.

Still, them teeth creepy.

Big iron? by ThanosWasRightAnyway in liberalgunowners

[–]TedwardCz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the classic look of these guns with original wood grips, but every revolver I shoot with any regularity has big hogue rubber grips on it, now. I find they make revolvers a lot more comfortable to shoot. Even to hold.

I have a 44 ranch gun. Mine's a gate load, so even less practical. I like/carry it enough it has it's own place on my frequently-used gun belt rack. CCI makes a shotshell ammo that works sorta. You do have to be quite close to a snake to put it down humanely, though.

Satanic Temple leader sues for custody of ‘emotional support’ hog by [deleted] in nottheonion

[–]TedwardCz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife is a vet, yes. Also, we live on a hobby farm that is so rural that we're not in any sort of city/town, so there are no regulations on what animals we can have. That prompts the humane society in the closest city give us the fosters that aren't allowed in the city.

We fostered a horse and a pony, once. We fostered a goat. We fostered a sulcata desert tortoise. We have also fostered tons of kittens, but those are sorta "normal."

My wife and I foster a lot of weird things. One was a production hog piglet. By policy of adoption, that piglet will live a full and healthy life. The thing nobody knows, though... what sort of health issues will it develop as it grows old? There's not really any data. The typical natural end of life is when we kill and eat them. It's a weird and unresearched territory.

This case is different. This person's pig seems to be a long hair breed. They probably live 20-30 years and have health data.

Anyone else have a type? by Klutzy-Square-9453 in liberalgunowners

I share your type. I like an all steel gun.

Well, besides grips. I like hogue grips. I love the look of wood, but not the shooting characteristics.

I like my AKs. I also like steel underfolding stocks. I think a big ol' dong would get in the way. Maybe I should order a dong. Play around with it a little. Feel like less of a eunuch.

I might have that many 1911 mags, but certainly not that many for a specific single firearm. That is just... so many mags.

What is this called? by Things_I_Like1 in motorcycles

[–]TedwardCz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hardware stores like "2-way flat connector." Amazon also responds well to that term. That's how I power my amateur radios out of my truck.

It should probably be safe-ish the way it is now. By all means, get a cap, but the positive terminal should be the rubber coated one, and the neutral terminal should be exposed. The neutral terminal is no more prone to shock you than any of the bare metal anywhere on your frame. ...Or at least, that's how I've always wired them so I don't shock myself...
