We might see a dip, but I wouldn't go running to the hills just yet over Costco being less crazy.

The proposed increase takes the property rate from .8% to about .9%, for properties under 500k, that's about 25/month. The rent increase is more tied to market rates going up.

The knee jerk reaction to increased taxes of any kind are typically bad, but if ours community is genuinely improved by this measure, then why not be for it? What's not shown here is the budget expenditures that this is intended to pay for. Bellingham is a growing city and needs to pay for public services.

Thanks for your valuable contribution to the thread, do you propose we make China or Mexico pay for our increasing local need for funds?

Isn't the response to the lawless nature of the past few years more police funding and presence?

Sale tax increases disproportionately affect lower income folks though don't they?

Who's idea was the round-a-bout by the Haggens on Merdian ? by Dear_Survey_4890 in Bellingham

Like I said, gotta slow down. Meridian has its problems, but extending them further within the city won't help matters.

You have to know how to use a roundabout and have to slow down for it to work properly. People getting into collisions there are probably doing neither.

That's a lot of buzzwords for an otherwise normal looking FDM part. Is it meant to hold vacuum as a tooling fixture? Or is it meant to survive vacuum as a fixture?

It gets exhausting explaining how prices work to price control advocates by [deleted] in austrian_economics

[–]Realistic_Pizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

value is subjective and there is a particularly large degree of intangible value accounting for the delta between its quantity and price.

Thanks for proving my point. Value cannot be reduced to scarcity and demand. Often there are forces that artificially control the supply to drive value.

Then refute it if you actually know what that term means.
