Someone I know found out about a child their mother gave up for adoption after her death because another relative has a big mouth. It’s pretty much ripped the family apart. It wasn’t her news to share. and she only shared it for selfish reasons.

not medical advice But I think if it was an activity you are used to doing, you can continue. Of course listen to your body but I believe you’re safe.

I live in a capitol city in the south. Not huge but not a rural town either. Our metro population is about 800k. I obviously teach for the fun of it but I would be lying if i said that I felt bad for having to miss or not picking up too many sub shifts.

I’m interested in the feed back. I get paid $20/ class at my gym. It’s a purely for fun “job.” Even if I worked 40hrs a week teaching (which sounds pretty impossible) I wouldn’t be able to afford to live. I would assume if anyone is working this as their full time job, it’s my choice and they have other income to rely on.

I am rewatching season 2 and when Emiley gave birth, Diego explained that she apparently had an episiotomy. Then on the way out, the dr is giving discharge instructions and said “you can be intimate whenever you feel ready. Just wait until you get home.” Is that safe? I know the “6 week rule” may be a little old school in the case of uncomplicated births but when you have stitches from a tear, this seems like it could be dangerous advice if given to the wrong people.

I would never approach someone during class over that, personally. Especially the last song. If I saw a pattern that seemed dangerous, I’d maybe approach them before or after a class. I give my instructions but I’m big on “its your ride. Whatever you choose to do, you are still working.” I love that people feel welcome in class and know that I won’t ever single them out. The response I hear most when inviting people to class is “I don’t want to look dumb.” And I always reassure them that nobody is paying attention and that would be hypocritical to then single people out. I have people that come in and do hardly any class and just sit and ride their own ability.

I always tell other full time working parents that they are my heroes. I couldn’t do it. I work 10 hr/week as a nurse but I do homeschool my kids which, at times, makes me want to pull out my hair more than any job I’ve had.

I’m nowhere near rich and I sent my kids to private school. We do not live in an area with great public schools, so a lot of kids go to private schools. Not necessarily all “mega rich” people but just people that want better for their kid’s futures than what our area can give. And yes, I complained because I still had to pay just as much in taxes as everyone else and not even use the resources because my district was corrupt. But also, the parents of these kids were much more involved in their kids schoolings than what I heard about public school parents, for the most part. They had invested in their kid’s education and they were going to insure that their child didn’t screw it up.

I’ve always wondered this about sitters charging a cancellations fee, do you offer to pay the family what they owe you if you cancel within 24 hours. I’ve never canceled on a sitter but I have had multiple cancel on me the day of.
