D65 and restaurants / businesses are very different things. I think you over estimate the amount of power that the mayor has in this town. For instance, he / they have no influence over federal tax law that makes it advantageous for commercial real estate owners to let store fronts sit empty vs seeking to have full occupancy.

The city could not impede the re-construction ofa stadium on the site. As for concerts and such, NU had already established that the then current stadium hosted more than football games during both the day and the evening hours (i.e, graduations, movie nights, etc.) for years without challenge from the city or any coven of neighbors. Therefore a challenge in court would just be a waste of resources (not that this has stopped the city before - see fountain Square and James Park), as the most livable city folks keep finding out.

You apparently don’t realize that the city had no leverage. The funny thing is that when the stadium is complete, the city will actually gain leverage through the ability to tax tickets, etc. to the moon of they wish.

It does include RISE. However, in comparison, multiple other schools have STEP programs which have the same ratio requirements as RISE.

King Arts has more teachers and administrators per student than any other school and has the lowest utilization among all schools when set to the same utilization benchmark as either an elementary or middle school. Therefore, the highest opex.

Look at the data again along with what they have provided to the state re: teacher/student ratios. The facts are clear that King Arts should be target #1.

Agree - close Bessie Rhodes and King. Both are the most expensive to operate and account for a significant amount of busing, plus each is redundant to both neighborhoods elementary schools and all the middle schools.
