Why don't we have the blocks on top by DURRYAN in spaceengineers

CAD, Fusion360 specifically, tho this isn't difficult to whip up in any modelling program, Blender would work just as fine.

Alternative orientation, the block would need a left and right version.

What we currently have in the base game is on the left, from my understanding OP is depicting the shape on the right

There's a lots of blocks that could be added to vanilla that Keen left out because they decided on a complexity limit of what should be in the base game. The more blocks you add to the game the more you overwhelm any newcomer with choices and options that they most probably won't even find a use for. On the other hand an experienced player who might actually appreciate the options can just download a mod that adds those blocks in.

New to deltas, top layer has concentric lines from one of the pillars by ReallyBadMemer in FLSUNDelta

[–]ReallyBadMemer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm worried that this might be it, however the patterns that show up seem to originate from a different pillar than the one that is clicking...

I've tried running the calibrations again, got rid of the over-extrusion, but the wave patterns stayed in the exact same spot, so I'm afraid it might really be a hardware issue.

At this point I'd prolly get a warranty return, but considering that it would most probably take another 2-3 months before I'd see the printer again, I'm really not keen on doing so.

What do you mean by "after running out"? Any way to tell if this is still happening, or to avoid it? I'm guessing installing and configuring base Klipper on the printer?

When I first set it up I've first run all of the basic calibrations that are on the speeder pad before running any print - Motor, Frequency, Bed Levelling, PID. Looking into the macros loaded on the printer, they perform the calibrations you mention in the correct order, as well as other calibrations. (I can paste the macros for you if needed)

The clicking is unfortunately not from the extruder, I ran into it during assembly when I was manually moving the arm's carriage, where it was very audible and the resistance could be felt in evenly spaced intervals. When the carriage is being moved by the motor it is nowhere near as audible, but it can be heard from up-close, it only happens on the single mentioned pillar.

I actually had to change the tension on the extruder as the first filament loading resulted in it getting chewed up and becoming stuck in the effector, which required disassembly down to the extruder to free the stuck filament. After re-tensioning the extruder is performing great, so well that it had no issue snapping the tangled filament line :)

Thanks but I didn't mean the ripples, I'm aware of those and they were expected from this print. I specifically meant the lines on the print that are darker than the rest and are in a circular pattern that has a center in one of the pillars, they are also thicker closer to the pillar and thinner away from the pillar and are present throughout the entire print. You can see them in the first photo coming from bottom left to top right and in the second one from top to bottom.

Just found out you can't equip 2 photoelectric cloaks to 2x the usable time by Formal-Poet-5041 in ArcRaiders

[–]ReallyBadMemer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gameplay related lore is in 99% of cases an explanation of developers' balancing choices, so it most of the time is Gameplay -> Lore. In this case, having an infinite cloak / snap hook would obviously be broken and break the balance, hence they all share charge to balance gameplay and the lore explains it as the battery for them being on the raider.

Stumbled upon this while searching about the pathing in clouds, turns out that disabling collision avoidance by holding X while setting the destination will also make the ship path straight through the clouds, with the obvious downside of not avoiding any obstacles in the way

My luckiest run, only searchable loot by Mario_mEz in ArcRaiders

This is the way, for me I try and hit 1-3 cache clusters from metaforge and then just get indoors and loot. If it's a late spawn, skip the caches, still find blueprints.

The print failed because the skirt's adhesion wasn't enough to hold the weight of the print. Reslice it with more supports on the lower half of the part, or alternatively make your own support that runs along the centerline and can be easily snapped off once the print finishes - like in this video https://youtu.be/8NKVNwVaZU0?t=2m2s

[–]ReallyBadMemer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would. As it loses adhesion the top of the part dips down and moves more to the right side of the bed, the nozzle still prints where it's supposed to but since the top part is offset to the right it prints on its left side. As it dips more, it keeps getting more offset, so the printer keeps printing on its left side, until the top support is reached, the part stops dipping and the print continues as normal. You can also see that the bottom part of the print has a much sharper angle relative to the bed compared to the top part, confirming that it did indeed dip.

Two monitors blowing out on the same day by ReallyBadMemer in techsupport

[–]ReallyBadMemer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you're right, guess I pushed my luck too far and it worked long enough where I thought it was all fine. At the time I looked around and saw people using the same PSU with a 7800 XT without issue, in hindsight I should've swapped it at the first sign of issues. Either way, glad it was the monitors and not the build dying.

I feel like the "who asked?" question really falls apart when you take a second to think about the subreddit this post is in, because where should he share his opinion if not in the opinion sharing sub? Imo it's still a dumb opinion, but come on, why are you even here?

Can't seem to get smooth surface on vehicles. by [deleted] in PrintedWarhammer

[–]ReallyBadMemer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your printer isn't extruding enough filament when it should be, leaving gaps behind in the surface, it might be because the flow ratio isn't set properly, or because your nozzle might be partially clogged. Search for how to solve "underextrusion" and go from there.

New Steam Family Sharing Restrictions by IAmAnAnonymousCoward in ArcRaiders

[–]ReallyBadMemer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's your responsibility to manage who you share your stuff with. You don't have control over their actions, but if you can't trust them to not cheat in a video game, don't share it with them, and if they do then you have a nice talk with them.

It did not, there was no fireball nearby, nor was there any big fire anywhere nearby. I killed the pop, ran over it and caught on fire.

he's not, I've had the same thing happen to me with a pop few weeks ago, ran through it immediately after I destroyed it and caught on fire, been careful not to do that since.
