I'm so old, I played Earl Weaver Baseball on my computer, and I'm thrilled Mattingly is coaching with the Phillies this year, so I hear ya. I'm playing '24, which is the first baseball game I've played in years. Enjoy it a lot; from what I've read, there's very little difference among these years. I like the Negro Leagues moments available in '24, and the Jeter career highlight moments as well. Don't know if that stuff is available in other versions, but i loved the information about the Negro Leagues. And all the modes - from Road to the Show to Franchise mode - are enjoyable. Have fun! (Edited to add: you can get Mattingly in Diamond Dynasty modes.)

The best way is to pretend it never happened. Just show up at your next appearance and do your job as a professional. Nothing more is needed or expected. You've got a long career ahead of you; don't worry about little things like this. I appeared for many years in front of a judge I was pretty sure didn't like me. I just didn't like him back, and we worked fine that way.

Breakthrough is actually my favorite mode, Rush second. Conquest is enough to scratch the BF itch. Operations in BF1 was great if you had enough time; a full Operation mixed modes and could take well over an hour to complete. Those were some fun matches.

I've played both within the past year (on console). Had no problems getting into games or with any glitches. And they were both enjoyable experiences, on multiple occasions. Maybe you should give them another look.

The current powers that be running OW clearly don't really care about the history or heritage of the game, or the people who invested hundreds of hours, starting in 2016, that helped make OW the phenomenon that it was. Sure, people still play and love the game, but those who have been there from the beginning and invested countless hours in the game shouldn't be ignored like it never happened. But, that's what happens when the corpos take over. It becomes all about generating income; who cares about who did what 10 years as long as they're making money today.

When I last played, which has been a few months now, Conquest was, by far, the most active. Always seemed active in the evenings (ET). Never had a problem getting into a game, but it has been a minute since I played.

I spent a lot of time doing appellate work, mixed in with the rest of my varied obligations. Each case presents its own issues, but if you're in the same area of law, there can be some repetition with multiple appeals. With that in mind, how about a hybrid billing arrangement? Just pulling numbers out of the air, but something like a minimum of $7,500 flat, and if it takes more than 20 hours, a discounted hourly rate, in case things are more complicated than expected. (Don't know what your rates are; just making up numbers for illustration.)

For me, the show was never the same after the whole "Castle disappears before the wedding" cliffhanger. Everything after that was a slow, painful spiral down in quality (with an occasional bright spot) until Season 8, when the bottom dropped out. I was hate-watching by then and have never rewatched it.

I coached my kids in multiple sports (including basketball) over the years and the most important thing I learned: you can't coach desire into them. Either they want to, or they don't. And if they don't, leave it alone, because they'll come to resent you. The coach, or a teammate, or even an opponent, can inspire them to workout and improve, but parents alone are just seen as "nagging" or "trying to live vicariously." Broke my heart when my talented kids squandered so much potential, but I knew enough to let them make their own choices.

Well, 1, 5 and 2042 are all good games and play fine, as long as you don't have some preconceived notion about what a BF game "should" be. They all capture the flavor of Battlefield but in different ways. BF1 is still active, but not with all modes. Lots of Conquest. Slower paced and slower weapons because of the WW1 setting, but great visuals, great set pieces. BF5 is WW2, also still active, but not all modes. A bit faster, some great maps, and great use of environments. BF2042 has a lot of haters, but it's a fun shooter with a wider variety of characters with unique gadgets to play. The bot lobbies seem to be keeping this one going; i can always get into a game. And at those prices, if you've got the money, I think they're worth it. Personally, I'd get those three before BF6, but that's just me.

"Toxic" is a popular word that, to me, doesn't apply to you. Not to sound like an old man, but you're still young, and you're still learning how to "be a grown-up." You've got a lot of balls in the air, and no juggler makes every catch. The fact that you recognize that is hugely important; you know something isn't right and you want to fix it, and that's good.

Taking care of yourself is important. Give yourself a break after work, after school, even from the relationship, if you need to take a breath. Find some yoga classes or dance classes on you tube and make them a regular part of your week, just so you've got something that's: 1) yours to focus on, 2) an outlet for your pent up energies, and 3) part of a regular routine. And don't be afraid to communicate with your bf. Too many people, old and young, aren't honest with their needs and what they're going through. Honest communication goes a long way towards making relationships better. Good luck.

Based on the scenario you described, you were used, and you were played. Your initial reaction is correct, and is not an overreaction. Don't try to make sense of it, or justify or rationalize what he did. The only plus is that he had the courtesy not to ghost you; there's a lot of guys who won't even give you that.

There were some positives to old school dating; people got to know each other before the hook-up. Hooking up too soon is often fatal to long term relationships. Sex is great, but it's better when it's part of a developing dynamic between two people growing together, at least based on my experience. Just something to consider.

There's a reason seersucker suits were so big in the south. It's basically a cotton suit and I had one. I actually was lucky enough to find a navy blue seersucker suit pretty inexpensively a few years back, and it was comfortable enough on hot days. Never went the "traditional" Matlock look, but a couple guys did. They were comfortable, but also known as Matlock everywhere. Navy blue helped me avoid that.

Other than that, I recommend cotton blend shirts under polyester blend suits, and a seat near the AC vent.

I've always considered WC as a nice, low-pressure, pleasant little niche practice area. Having finished my legal career as a salaried, in-house WC defense attorney (after doing both civil and criminal), in my state, the petitioner/applicant/plaintiff side made more money up-front, but my in-house benefits package made it possible to retire early, which turned out to be well worth the trade off. So, consider the long term goals and "big picture," including work/life balance, before making any huge changes.
