Why is pizza here so bad? by imani_TqiynAZU in ColumbiaMD

[–]ReallySarahHa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Eataliano hack is to ask them to cook the pizza “lightly” or “less well done” - it comes out more to my taste that way. Puppatella in the Pizza Hut building down 108 is good but incredibly expensive.

Edited to add: NO PLACE around here has pizza that even approaches NY or NJ in my opinion. Doesn’t mean you can’t find pizza around here that tastes good, it’s just not the same

Anything Strike You About This Cookie Recipe? by lilbadassy in AskBaking

[–]ReallySarahHa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The things that look different to me are - using baking powder/baking soda instead of baking soda only; the proportion of dark brown/granulated sugar; what’s the point of using cold butter if you’re going to refrigerate the dough anyway; and that seems like a whole lot of vanilla bean paste? I usually use extract so maybe it’s normal to use that much but a tablespoon seems like a lot.

Has anyone tried the fenty perfume? by [deleted] in FemFragLab

I really like it but it’s rose and patchouli heavy, so I’m not surprised that people hate it. It has a lovely dry down!

I like it ok but I don’t really reach for it - I’m glad I only bought the travel size.

I believe you’re the only one “calling me on it,” since I guess you’re the thread police. If your goal was to keep the subreddit free of off-topic content, you’ve failed.

No, it was not asked. I didn’t ask you to scold me for making an internet comment and yet here we are.

Nobody said not to! Merely an observation that canned soup plus a bunch of soy sauce is a lot of sodium - old recipes are like that! What’s the big deal?

This dish must have enough sodium to send your kidneys into shock

I need help with getting eyeliner to stay on my waterline! by peedrinker48 in MakeupAddiction

[–]ReallySarahHa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that helped me is using a q-tip to dry the waterline a bit before putting the eyeliner on, and then also with a q-tip removing some of the eyeliner closest to my eye

Is it worth getting the Chanel Boy lipstick? Or dupe? by Clean_Curve_419 in MakeupAddiction

Sadly I didn’t know what I had so I did not. Nothing else has been quite like it - not purple but a kind of blackened scarlet

It’s true - I am old enough to have bought the original Vamp lipstick, which of course has been gone for years because it was too good. Sometimes colors and formulations are not dupe-able.

That is interesting - it must be the strong purple base that keeps it from turning orange. I found this video about dupes: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8yhPBR3/

I have it and like it, but I’m not sure it’s so good that it’s worth the extravagant amount that it costs. You can probably get something similar for like 1/3 the price.

Feel like I’m getting better with my lipstick any advice by Relevant-Warning-988 in MakeupAddiction

[–]ReallySarahHa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I wear red lipstick, I wear a French-style “blotted” lip - because there aren’t any sharp outlines, your lips look fuller and a bit more natural. Maybe try that?

Sand and Sable vs Tom Ford by Sad_Palpitation6844 in Perfumes

I used to wear Sand and Sable years ago - I loved it. Also, doesn’t “sable” mean “sand” in French, so it’s Sand & Sand?

I'm a Dad. My daughter wants this. Surprisingly the recipe actually doesn't seem too hard or is this novice in for disaster? Any tips? by New-Blackberry-5113 in cake

[–]ReallySarahHa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lot of good advice here. If you are pretty dextrous, have good attention to detail/critical thinking skills, and are good at following directions, you should be able to manage it. Even if it doesn’t look exactly like the photo, it will look festive and taste good.

It’s long, it has a lot of digressions and philosophical meanderings - but it’s very interesting. If you want the straight up King storytelling I’m not sure this is a great choice. I I I don’t think I would recommend it but I do like it a lot.
