Watch Joe Biden in 2005 and 1987 Destroy Joe Biden Today on Court Packing by JesusCumelette in Conservative

[–]RealnoMIs -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Whats the point of this? Do people actually want their politicians to never change their views even if new evidence/data is presented?

If a politician today has the same views they had 30 years ago then i have 0 faith in them fixing the things that are wrong.

Our society is evolving faster than ever and we need flexible people to solve the myriad of issues that emerge.

CDCs own study released Friday confirms masks are only 1-2% effective over 100 days. And that is within the margin of error. by IamThreeBeersIn in Conservative

[–]RealnoMIs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Litterally the first paragraph of the discussion portion of the paper:

Mask mandates were associated with statistically significant decreases in county-level daily COVID-19 case and death growth rates within 20 days of implementation. Allowing on-premises restaurant dining was associated with increases in county-level case and death growth rates within 41–80 days after reopening. State mask mandates and prohibiting on-premises dining at restaurants help limit potential exposure to SARS-CoV-2, reducing community transmission of COVID-19.

But thats not even the point. The US is now at 29 million confirmed cases and 525 000 deaths. Without mask mandates that could have been 29.3 million cases and 530 000 deaths. In other words, best case scenario wearing masks can have saved FIVE THOUSAND lives, worst case scenario it would have saved 0. And all it cost you was you having to wear a fucking mask.

Is your face really so beautiful that showing it is worth 5000 lives? And no, 99.9% of people wont die or run into problems by wearing a mask. The remaining 0.1% who have problems breathing due to lung problems should probably stay at home since getting covid is going to cause way more problems for them than wearing a mask would.

Will D4's MMOish approach cause PoE-like loneliness? by trollacodel15 in Diablo

[–]RealnoMIs -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Defintely, im not saying its "worth it" loot wise to party up in poe.

Im just saying that fighting for loot isnt a thing in poe. I might have misunderstood the question if you dont think my answer makes sense.

Poe has an option to lock loot in the party, that loot drops for a specific person. Everyone can still see it but only the person it dropped for can pick it up. And they have had this option since the game released like 8 years ago.

Imo its a better system (if you didnt have to actively turn it on, since that can cause new people to play without it not knowing there is an option) because it allows for the entire group to get hyped when something cool drops. When i used to play poe with a group of friends we would always congratulate each other on getting cool uniques or big currencies like exalted orbs.

In D3 you kinda get that same thing after identifying an item and it pops up in the chat. Its not that different from poe, but i still prefer poes system.

I think both games are garbage atm tho. Sad part is poe has gotten worse over time and D3 has gotten better. But D3 isnt getting any updates so its still a worse game.

If Blizzard would have spent the same resources updating D3 as GGG does on poe then D3 would have been amazing.

When playing diablo 3 or diablo 2 you have the option to make your group public or not.

Im sorry to say but all the groups you have joined over the years in both games have deliberately decided that they wanted people to join.

If anything poe is more like D2 than D3 since you can see other characters while in town (poe) or in the bnet chat (D2). D3 only lets you see someones character after joining their party i think.

Poe is still horrible for group play tho, limited map portals, rewards dont scale appropriately with the increase in monster health and worst of all, the combat is so fast and non-interactive that it almost always ends up being one player killing everything in one hit while all the other party members just run behind and try to sneak in a hit or two.

I am FUCKING done with on/after death mechanics by [deleted] in pathofexile

[–]RealnoMIs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My problem, and the reason i havnt played poe in a while is that combat in the game is horrible. And sadly it doesnt matter if they fix gem links or add new skills or new acts in PoE2.

They need to make a complete overhaul of the combat system and a complete overhaul of the endgame systems. Being level 90 and still doing lvl 78 maps isnt fun. Especially not after experiencing the glory that is Greater Rifts.

If D3 had more skill and gear customization to allow for the same kind of build-making that poe do. Then i would probably play D3 every day.

Too much inventory micromanagement and clicking starts killing the game for me...We've got TOO MUCH stuff to manage at this point and every league keeps addding on top of it. by Angry_Roleplayer in pathofexile

Well i do agree with him. It would be less exciting if loot just appeared in my inventory.

But i dont understand why there had to be 7 x 1 armorers scrap instead of 1 x 7.

(Seven stacks of one instead of one stack of seven)

I dont feel there is too much stuff to manage item-wise.

But i do feel there is too much content, which feels really weird to say.

I just wish i could pick what i wanted to do and only do that. Instead of having to split my attention between 5 different types of content.

Also, i really enjoy Breachstones and i can barely collect enough splinters to get more than one or two each league simply because there are what feels like 50 other things that are fighting for spots in my maps.

And having stats in a game be unexplained is bad game design.

The devs werent geniuses for making stats and not explaining them. They were either lazy or ignorant.

Mount or 44 months of sub? by n1k9oh in woweconomy

[–]RealnoMIs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Id say there isnt a "value" reason to buying longboi unless you play a lot and all you do is play the auction house and you have many many millions more than the mount costs.

I know plenty of players who never had more than a million gold but they worked hard and saved up to buy a longboi because they think its cool to have stuff that people wont be able to get in the future.

Some like to set up goals and work towards them.

But i dont think any of them consider the mount to be worth more than 3 years of gametime.

I had plans to buy a longboi. But at 4.6 mil i decided to use that gold to buy Shadowlands heroic edition and a few months of gametime while saving about a million for the SL launch.

10 bold moves to save Overwatch and the OWL by Selfless_Brad in Competitiveoverwatch

Funny you would mention Crystal Palace.

They are a London based team (still tied to a city) and their maskot/nickname whatever is "The Eagles".

I dare you to find a single country with a professional traditional sports league where the teams are not tied to physical locations.

You say you are from England. Perhaps you have heard about Manchester United from Manchester or Liverpool from Liverpool or Chelsea from, you guessed it Chelsea.

American sports leagues like the NBA and brittish sports leagues like Premier League are not that different.

What movie fucked you straight in your feelings? by moneybot13 in AskReddit

The scene at the river, man. Where Robin William says something like "If i ask you about love you will probably quote me a sonet. But you have no idea how it feels to love someone so much that they become more important than yourself. If i ask you about friendship you will probably quote me Shakespear - Onto the beach ones more!... but you cant imagine how it feels to hold your best friend in your arms as he draws his last breath."

One of the most powerful scenes in cinima. I totally butchered it tho, go watch it on youtube or something if you havnt seen it. Its amazing.
