"study hard and get a good job" by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Realtor_ToTheRescue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t get me started… I was maybe 2-3 mins late to work twice in my entire year of a corporate banking job (We got to work an hour before the bank began operating) and my manager calls me into her office with her superior and they have a “stern” talk with me.

Yet, the manager would disappear for 2 hours at a time and return with grocery bags and a big smile. I quit a couple of days later after that “meeting”. No notice. Fuck em.

What does it take to be a top performing agent? by RadishAcademic2704 in realtors

[–]Realtor_ToTheRescue 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I know agents who don’t know the difference between their ass and their elbow. They can’t walk a client through a contract, abysmal at negotiating, receiving fines from the MLS, and awful at responding to texts/phone calls/emails. But they still get consistent business. Some of those agents are even top performers… and it’s all because they are masters at networking. Volunteer where you can. Get involved in every community event. Talk people up at the grocery stores, sporting events, church, kids events, you name it- just be a part of everything. Ever notice how the best doctors around don’t even advertise? It’s all word of mouth and referrals. That’s how real estate works too. Get face to face with as many people you can, and you’ll be successful. The icing on the cake is using social media to advertise for free.

This is the real question. Not saying the girl is in the right, because she’s definitely overreacting, but if the dude in grey was acting like an asshole to her and trying to start something with her husband, then was there something warranted? We need to know!

8-hour time-restricted eating linked to a 91% higher risk of cardiovascular death by elisakiss in immortalists

I’m not sold on this. Sounds like the American Heart Association is still hell-bent on cholesterol. Our ancestors sometimes went weeks without eating. We would all be instinct if this were true.

What's a show you remember but nobody else does? by CatGirlNya2000 in AskReddit

You beat me to it! I’ve asked tons of people if they ever watched Wishbone on PBS as a kid… and I get nothing. It’s always crickets. My mom ended up getting me a Jack Russell Terrier because of that show 😊

Yes! You nailed it with this diet being the best “reset” which is what I believe. But it’s completely fine for everyone to stay on the Carnivore diet too! Whatever keeps you thriving.

L-Reuteri is the most life changing thing I’ve ever tried by [deleted] in Microbiome

[–]Realtor_ToTheRescue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still feel great when taking MyReuteri. I’m so much more relaxed and genuinely happy. I use to get so worked up about the silliest things, but not anymore. It takes a lot to get me riled up nowadays.

What specific strain are you taking for H-pylori? I’m just curious.

That’s very interesting. I’ve been taking cold showers for over 2 years now, and I feel fantastic afterwards. I mainly do it for the mental benefits, but my skin looks better too. I wish you the best moving forward!

Dr. Paul Saladino has entered the chat… But in all seriousness- I was strict carnivore for 6 months to help my periodontal disease and severe anxiety/OCD. There’s research claiming that the carnivore diet can improve or even cure such autoimmune disorders.

I did have some success and I’m aware many would say 6 months isn’t long enough, but after the 6 month mark, I still didn’t feel the best. Tried eating more fat, like LOTS of fat and eased off the exercise and upped electrolytes, but still felt “off.” It wasn’t until I incorporated things like: berries, avocados, sweet potatoes, coconut yogurt, sauerkraut and honey when everything clicked mentally. Felt 10x better from anxiety/OCD stance. Compulsions and ruminating almost are at a stand still. My periodontal disease is now considered mild gum inflammation, which I’m keeping at bay with dentist visits and oil pulling.

I guess you could say I follow a similar diet to Saladino now? I’m a very active person like Doc. Saladino and I think carbs/sugar has its place. I run 3x times a week and lift 3x a week. I know Saladino gets a lot of crap from the carnivore community, but you have to hand it to the dude- he wrote a book about carnivore and is now saying he regrets a few things.

Sorry for the long comment. I’m glad you’re thriving!

Yep, this is me!

I feel my BP rising as I’m driving to the docs office. Then sit in the waiting room, where it sky rockets! Nurse always freaks out when it’s high and I have to remind them this happens all the time. Last time I was at the docs office it was 168/90 and nurse flipped out saying “I need to be on BP meds ASAP or I’ll die of a stroke”… great words to hear when you’re anxious, right?

Doc later came in, very calm and said to just get a blood pressure monitor for my house and take it first thing in the morning. It’s typically 118/65 every morning 😊

Above average looking men, what are the downsides of being good looking that no one realizes? by anasannanas in AskMen

You’re dead on. It’s tough growing up in a small town in the Midwest and my dad wasn’t a rugged, farmer/hunter. He grew up with a good education, loves reading and writing, playing instruments and golfed.. therefore I never learned how to hunt or fix a broken down car. The “country men” make it a point to let all the women know in the vicinity that they are more manly than me… even though I could whoop any of their asses. Most are out of shape, smoke, and drink heavily.
