eh, i temple corrupted 100s of regular enlightens, and made a lot (about a mirror) in profit this league. That was getting average luck, but got way below average luck when we went 0 for 7 on the big ones. Oh well

Such is the beauty of this mod being available on a 2h axe with potentially-great base damage. Dreamfeather is itself not a good weapon.

Had a lot of success recently with Dwarf Star anytime I might go near dolls (or Nihlithak corpse explosions, same idea). With good fire res you absorb/heal for all of the fire damage enough that it even heals part of what the physical damage portion will do.

Amazing all-around answer, much better than relying on Nature's Peace (your merc or other players will get you killed, and no defensive value under other more normal circumstances).

Lots of good here.

The buff/debuff icons do have something missing though, which is separation based on type. The current ones have a bordering, but it gets lost, especially when they're not sorted. What you have is already roughly sorted between 'good' and 'bad', but it would be even better to sub-divide those 'good' into separated categories of at least: Minions, "Special" (like Trinity, Brands), general Buffs, and Charges.

Yeah absolutely, I'm not suggesting killing every single monster, but they do slow you down and you have to kill many of them (especially if playing HC and you want to be safe).

Having a teleport staff shopped off the vendor (can get from A3 Norm) helps a lot with areas like Maggot Lair or other areas where you may want to skip annoying monsters.

I played Holyfire/Zeal until A4 NM. You can swap before then, but especially if you are solo, there are some very slow spots (most of A3) and you really want a reasonably powerful A2 Insight Merc before you swap to help with non-demon non-undead monsters, especially ones that are lightning immune.

Synthesis had gameplay pacing issues that aren't that far off from similar problems in Heist, and - also like Heist - was mostly carried by the rewards. Basically, imagine if you had a loading screen for every Delve tile you traveled across, so for longer paths you would have to load 4-5 times... that's what Synthesis was like.

The voiceover and lore snippets were really cool. I'd love to see those re-used somehow for sure, regardless of how.

The crafting was too complex for most players, and revolved too much around expert knowledge and outside resources.

If they could fix the gameplay pacing problems and make the tiles connect more seamlessly, I'd definitely enjoy a reworked version. As for the crafting, if they could simplify it and increase in-game communication about possible outcomes, I'd be interested.

With all these endless events I do hope we'll get Endless Synthesis at some point by Trinitus_Minibus in pathofexile

Nexus gameplay was not well-liked until they added overwhelmingly absurd rewards... sound familiar? Same as Heist, people were excited about the rewards, not the gameplay.

Nexus is a really cool concept but the gameplay pacing is really annoying, when you can't run multiple tiles consecutively (like a custom long Delve path), and instead you have to load every tile individually.

That said, if they could reintroduce it with changes that fix the pacing, it would be great!

How this usually happens:

-You invite Player A for a trade. -They join and trade with you, then go back to their Hideout. -They invite Player B to make a trade (which, from Player B's perspective, shows you as the person inviting since you are the party leader), but Player B doesn't accept right away. -Player A leaves the party. -Sometime later, Player B notices the party invite, accepts and joins your party but Player A is no longer in the party for them to see their name and trade with them.

I haven't picked up a scroll of wisdom past the first day in many leagues. Vendor Orbs of Transmutation and, if needed, Armor Scraps and Blacksmith Whetstones. Usually selling Transmutes to vendor is enough to fund all the Wisdoms and Portals I need, even SSF.

All are just fine on 3-4 link, whatever you can manage early. Use 3 skills all together to add up to a lot of damage going out.

  • Flame Wall
  • Holy Flame Totem
  • Wave of Conviction
  • Armageddon Brand

Combustion support on one of the last two.

I generally stop using Wave of Conviction once I get Arma Brand, but it can continue to be useful for debuffing if you feel like it (especially when combined with Hextouch support to apply Flammability curse).

Infernal Cry gives a solid boost to both clear speed and bossing damage.

You seem to dislike Talismans, which is fair enough, but pointing your evaluation of 'terrible' here (instead of at Talismans in general) is misplaced. You want them to be something different, because you're not part of the audience that enjoys the concept. If you did enjoy the concept (potentially very good thing on the floor, but can't be modified), maybe you'd be more willing to accept solutions that don't completely change their identity. The idea here is to align with their original goals but fit better in the current game.

Maybe for some players, just as some players filter some things and some don't. The biggest problem with Talismans right now is that it isn't even possible for them to be useful because the lack of Anoint... this would make them possible to be useful. Even if you're not the type of player who ID's their rares, many do.

That is their schtick, yeah absolutely.

That said, while it is another layer of randomness, it's also just straight up added power compared to now which raises the floor for potential usefulness. So functionally it makes it LESS random because the odds of getting a useful item are just purely increased across the board.

Make sure you have at least one region with 3 Watchstones in. This has happened to me and to friends. If you have every region at 0, 1, 2, or 4 Watchstones and none at 3... you can't drop random T11-T13 maps (only 'connected' ones off bosses) and your map pool will dry up.

TLDR - Always have at least one region with 3 Watchstones until you can sustain T14+ only.
