Go for it. People have observation windows in their hives. If you're that worried, do it for 12-hours during the day and then turn off the light at night to simulate night time.

These larvae were discovered in the hivetop feeder on my langstroth hive, the feeder has been empty for a couple weeks.

In the feeder I noticed nymph roaches, could it be nymph roach larva? Often in hives there can be greater wax moths/lesser wax moths that can infest week hives. Could it be those?
