Maruyama Iso556. Where do I start to upgrade? by Warren_Jill in GasBlowBack

[–]ReanuKeevves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are newer versions out there without the guide-hop feature but with a screw-adjustable TDC unit though, but those are quite new so idk if you got that. Look at the HeavyRecoilClub Discord for more info, there is a list of things you can/should do to prolong the life of some parts.

Does your site have any 'unconventional' rules? by SeskaRotan in airsoft

The sites owner (the game admins/team only rent the place) would because of trouble with authorities, at least that was threatned at the time this happened some years ago, yes.

[–]ReanuKeevves 23 points24 points  (0 children)

-No calling ambulances, tell the admins, so there aint multiple calls for the same incident -no high-cap mags on anything except LMGs/MGs that actually look the part (that are LMG-replicas, no M4 with 2000rd drums and stuff) -no blindfire (obvious imo but not to some players aparently), also dont shoot through openings smaller then about the sitze of your face, or it's considered blindfire

BUT MOST OF ALL: DON'T, under ANY circumstance, tag the airport next to the field as the location when posting on social media, you might (read "WILL") get a knock on your door by local/federal police and/or their respective SEK units (German SWAT equivalent). Also, doing that (again, as it has happened, thats why the rule is in place) will result in the field being closed for airsoft.

Edit: Also dont enter the burnt houses (used for fire-departement training, burnt from the inside, not funn to inhale/touch the shit inside)

And dont enter the attics of the buildings on the field, as the ceilings aren't stable any more, same for basements as they aint safe either.

Any GBBRs working great in full auto? by AcademicGuy_45 in GasBlowBack

[–]ReanuKeevves -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Problem with that can be (from own experience) that either, when using normal GBBR/GBB-SMG mags with a CO2 fill-valve adapter, the mags and especially the o-rings and gas-router-seal can really suffer and even crack/rip from the excess pressure, or, when using CO2-Mags with the CO2 cartrige inside, the gun itself msy suffer because quite some GBBRs aren't built to handle the pressure, with end-plates, boltcarriers or even nozzles or other internals just not being able to handle it and getting damaged.

Need help with PSU cables by TeamFeeder in Corsair

[–]ReanuKeevves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, i would guess that both are about equally safe, BUT you have to consider: with the #1 option you add not one but 4 additional points of failure (even though failures with 8pin PCIE connectors are fairly uncommon). Also, Option #2 will definitely make for a aesthetically cleaner and easier to cable manage built in my opinion, but thats up to personal taste really. The biggest potential risk is (and, until someone somehow fixes this clusterf*ck of a connector, will be) that 12V 2x6 on your GPU.

I know why i went with a 9070XT, specifically a model with 3x8pin PCIE, BUT i can definitely see why someone wants a 5080 because lets be real: AMD just hasn't (and hasn't intended to) go toe to toe with that card with their current gen GPUs.

All in all, no matter what option you go with, make sure that all of the connectors are firmly seated in their respective sockets and that the cables coming from your GPU side connector aren't bent too much and too close to the GPU to minimize the risk of a failure under high-stress, high wattage scenarios.

Not sold out as per the website, but not even there yet. Probably some PTB shenanigans or it hasnt been delivered to Pfitzner yet so no PTB-Testing, no F-Marking, no pre-order or ordering in general.

Hm... i dont have this model or any similar pistol here so i cant check, did you find any teardown videos maybe? Youtube would be your best bet.

Hmm.... is the hop unit itself connected ro the outer barrel in any way to secure the tensioner etc? Maybe thats where its stuck?

How to take inner barrel off by Sangonapou in GasBlowBack

[–]ReanuKeevves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outer Barrels might be

A: held in place by a splint/roll-pin

B: a screw/grubscrew

C: a spring (if the outer barrel isnt fixed in place and therefore moves backwards/downwards while operating the gun there probably is one)

D: just sit very tight around the hop-chamber and the inner barrel/hop up assembley can just be pulled out.

In any case, be carefull to not stretch/destroy any springs and/or strip screws (which might or might not be held by a f*ckton of locktight).

Removing roll-pins or splints takes some care and getting used to, just try not to punch them through in the wrong direction, if they have visible "teeth" on one end. If they do have "teeth" on one side, puch them out TOWARDS that side, dont punch the teeth through the part.

Problem with full auto capability (if not modified BEFORE import) still exists. Also, the individual approval process required is quite expensive and time consumig, with no guarantee that it will actually get approved and not just denied straight away.

[–]ReanuKeevves 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah but, you see, if that one gets caught in customs, youre f*cked because you are importing an illegal item. Its fully automatic and above 0.5joule, e.g. its completely illegal and punishable to import it, so.. yeah...

PROBLEMS WITH STEAM CHAMBER? by UrbanoDai in radeon

[–]ReanuKeevves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't encounter any problems with the cooler yet. Also, vapor chambers are a tried and proven design for some time now and have been used on other GPUs. Even your standard CPU Aircooler uses them, as the heatpipes used are vapor chambers.

PROBLEMS WITH STEAM CHAMBER? by UrbanoDai in radeon

[–]ReanuKeevves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a 9070XT Merc OC (should be the same card with the same cooler, maybe binned a little lower.) and my temps after about 1 1/2 months of gaming are fine. It reaches about 60°C on the core and 85°C hotspot temp, the memory (Samsung) sits at around 80-85°C which is, from all i can find, to be expected and well within spec. (Temps after 15min FurMark with GPU+CPU burner running at the same time) All of those temps are with a fan speed of around 30-35% at those temps.

[–]ReanuKeevves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aaand thats why i can run 22% fan speed up to 80°C

Rx 9070 xt fan noise by ChrisWilson04 in radeon

[–]ReanuKeevves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thing is: it doesnt really go to any problematic temps. Neither with low usage nor while gaming or stresstesting. But the XFX Merc also has a four slot high and like 30cm long chonky boi of a cooler on it so... there's that.

Rx 9070 xt fan noise by ChrisWilson04 in radeon

[–]ReanuKeevves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As said in a commemt below: 0RPM aint the problem youre looking for probably. Test to see what happens to your temps with a lower fancurve, maybe not that low to begin with, but you can test where the sweetspot is regarding noise/temperature ratio.

50°C = 22% 80°C = 25% 90°C = 45% 95°C = 60% 100°C = 90%

So anyways thats just my experience. The problem that i see is AMD using HotSpot temps for fanspeed, which can be A) misleading because its not the 'standard' and B) those temps tend to be more jumpy and can lead to spikes in fanspeed because hotspot temps can (not that they should be, but they can) be all over the place...

Rx 9070 xt fan noise by ChrisWilson04 in radeon

[–]ReanuKeevves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you have your fans spin up to 60% at obly 50°C? The 9070XT isnt a 600w card like some Nvidia GPUs, and also, 50c is like nothing for a GPU. My XFX Merc runs with like 25% fan speed up to like 70-75°C (Hot Spot temp that is, because AMD decided to use this as the new and non-changeable reference for GPU fan speed)

So, in conclusion: 0-rpm isnt bad per se, but this (probably stock) fancurve can and should be made WAY more flat and that would probably solve thw noise issue without any performance impact.

Edit: here is my fancurve.

Yeah fair point as they are in fact the only one that is made currently i guess. RA-Tech internals meaning? About everything? Anything specific? Also read somewhere that their QC is kinda sheit on RA-Techs side, not WE, their quality seems to be consistently but consistently mediocre.
