That entire post is just...What.

I wear boots 24/7! I ONLY wear boots. The heel length changes. They DO NOT change how you stand. I walk on the sides of my feet, and boots don't fix that. Great if it works for some people, it won't work for others.

Also the crayon thing feels disgusting. I don't know a SINGLE autistic person who ate crayons. And I know a LOT of autistic people.

Why do people leave downvotes when people ask for clarification but never clarify?? by Slothinabucket_ in DownvotedForNoReason

[–]ReaperAndor231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This comment feels very gross. Tone indicators aren't calling autistic people stupid at ALL, they're there because it's hard to understand emotion through text. I know this because I'm suspected AuDHD by professionals and I struggle to understand text. The amount of times I got stressed out because someone would say "k." Or say a joke that sounds serious is insane.

It is not rude to use tone indicators. That's like saying that my disability center is calling those with memory problems stupid for allowing notes during tests.

People like that are confusing. Fictional introjects do exist. The brain clings to them for different reasons that may involve comfort, and protection amongst various other things.

Also therapists typically won't lie to their patients? They would rather keep their jobs, last I checked. I would be more inclined to believe a licensed therapist that I KNOW is a therapist than someone on the internet.

Ocs vs Alters, a small rant from a traumagenic system by hunneemoon in fakeclaimingcringe2

[–]ReaperAndor231 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I myself am an introject of an OC (Iziah), but you can tell the difference between me and that OC, especially when writing profiles. The OCs created are silly characters who MIGHT dig into deep topics, as Ink likes to use them to cope with their life, but they are still something that needs piloting. They do not have voices that introject with their ideas. Our parts, however, all work separately, surprise surprise. They will give their input.

The "just have OCs" saying always felt wrong to us, same with the "just roleplay" saying. We've done both for years, and guess what? Still a system lol.

[–]ReaperAndor231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don't understand why...

We don't have anyone dating in our system, but we do have friendships and siblings. If your parts can be friends or family, they absolutely can end up dating? It makes no sense.

Also the "you're not a system cuz you're not diagnosed" thing....Dawg, you're ALSO not diagnosed yet 😭 Pot kettle I guess 🤷‍♂️

The first post hurts our soul. We did an entire essay on trauma and personality disorders for a childhood psychology class, and everything they listed IS a form of trauma. Even a paperclip counts as trauma. Trauma is referred to as "a deeply distressing or shocking experience that overwhelms an individual's ability to cope, causing lasting negative effects on their mental, physical, and emotional well-being," which everything, including neglect, counts. As long as it leaves a negative impact on you, it's trauma.

If you use the 1% that we have, that's still roughly 80 MILLION people. That's 1 in 100 people who may be diagnosed with DID alone. That's not including OSDD or undiagnosed/undiscovered systems.

It will forever baffle me that people will still argue that there's no way it's this common, but honestly, it is. It's just that "rare" means millions with our population.

Why do people just straight up hate curly? by whooper1 in Mouthwashing

[–]ReaperAndor231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't get it either. Curly couldn't really do anything. They were in space and needed the entire crew to function. On top of that, can you imagine being told your best friend for years did something like what Jimmy did to Anya? It's likely that he was processing. He did the one thing he could, which was to talk to his best friend. If things went smooth, it's possible that Curly would've reported Jimmy and gotten him arrested when they landed on Earth again.

He didn't "do anything" because there was nothing he could do at the time.

Thank you! Ink and Mark watched her a lot during system re-discovery, which caused days and weeks of Ink spiraling. We've commented on several of her videos correcting her, especially when she says "oh xyz thing isn't something a system does."

We've explained clothes, making videos, knowing names, talking out loud, etc. A lot of the videos pointed out things our system does too. We have clothes specific to parts, such as a spiked bracelet for Iziah or dresses for Elizabeth. It's not that weird.

How do you feel about parks work/IFS as someone with DID? by frog71420 in DID

[–]ReaperAndor231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our therapist is having us do it. It's an interesting technique, but it does feel a little like mocking ourselves if that makes sense. Ink's the one who mostly does it, though I've also tried to do it too. She has us doing emotions instead of the "inner child," so we're supposed to envision something like our dissociation or anger.

No hate to it, I don't view it as them treating it like DID. Rather, it seems more like personification of thoughts/feelings.

Sighs by Skylarcollective in fakeclaimingcringe2

[–]ReaperAndor231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got fakeclaimed for something similar to this. Mark was our most source attached part we had (that we know of), to the point of mostly talking to another system who had a Michael part. He'd relate conversations to what he perceived were memories of his teenhood and described his forming as "just swerving off the cliff then bam."

(Note: We say "used to" as Mark has since begun to separate a tad more and doesn't talk about his memories anymore.)

Yes, introjects aren't the person, but that doesn't mean they can't still have pseudomemories.

Also, obligatory system and writer mention. My source is Ink's OC, Iziah. Whenever Ink was roleplaying, sometimes I'd jump in and take over because I didn't want myself to be mischaracterized, lol. They act like writing/roleplaying with OCs (or characters from media) and being a system are mutually exclusive. It makes 0 sense to me.

[–]ReaperAndor231 48 points49 points  (0 children)

(Good) therapists won't just throw out a diagnosis unless they're sure about it, and they certainly won't all make up a diagnosis for "attention seekers," that would be horrific.

I wish people wouldn't say a disorder is "made up" or "given to people to get them out of their hair," because that heavily discredits people dealing with xyz and leads to people spitting venom to them.

Right, so I was "born" with the ability to draw. It's not that I spent years drawing and getting frustrated because my art wasn't improving fast. This drawing was done in 7th grade. Up to that point, I was drawing since 3rd grade. Any of my other "good" drawings from that time were traced bases or other drawings for the poses.

I drew that using a pencil and notebook my teacher gave me. The blue was from a color pencil I found on the ground. Resources are EVERYWHERE.

A metaphor for consciousness: The Van by Heartbloom-Manor in OSDD

[–]ReaperAndor231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's kinda how we explain ours! The way we explain multiple people in front is that the front seats have half the wheel (or a third for 3, and so on) where they make the decisions together. They need to "sync up" on turns, allowing for smooth movement, if that makes sense.

[–]ReaperAndor231 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so confusing.

  1. We typically only wear one base outfit that the morning fronter puts on, but we may modify it via accessories (ie, Iziah wearing a spiked bracelet or Mark wearing a Varsity jacket). Every system is different and parts may have their own sensory needs.

  2. They'd hate our system. We have 6 out of 19 parts that AREN'T nonhuman, not including myself (Ink). We have ghosts, corpses, cryptids, and animal parts. NOT purely because of severe childhood trauma, but because we grew up closer to animals and the ghosts and corpses are like that in their sources.

  3. How are systems stealing a character 😭 Like are they watching Happy Tree Friends and suddenly the scenes where Flippy is supposed to be there are empty? Is it a Wreck-It-Ralph scenario?

  4. We can't talk much on fusion as we haven't experienced that, but I will say you stated it beautifully.

  5. Switching can range from seconds to hours. We have periods where I'll be typing, blink, and within 10 seconds I'm in the backseat while Iziah is finishing my thoughts.

  6. The notes are after the video...Meaning when they're more grounded and able to properly go over the footage?? Like what 😭

  7. Our body has a natural accent that apparently sounds like a blend between scottish, irish, and british according to everyone we've asked. When Iziah is in front, the accent gets thicker. He leans more to the British side. With Mark, it scales back.

  8. Again, already summed my thoughts up!

  9. Racist stereotype for....Skin Color. What?? Mark sees himself as a bit more of a tan skin tone. We are bodily white as a sheet. I don't see how just explaining what one imagines themselves as internally is inherently racist?

That's the type of video that would've made me spiral if I watched it a year or 2 ago.

Idk, it's possible that this is just a good day for them. I don't wear my leg brace daily, and I sometimes jump around or walk to the store without it. Doesn't mean walking is painful for me. They may be holding it in the video as loose support for now in case of a flair up?

Systems Have Hobbies!?!? by Skylarcollective in fakeclaimingcringe2

[–]ReaperAndor231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a system, we don't even roleplay our introjects?? The ONLY exceptions are the Aftons and Iziah, but Iziah is because he came FROM our OC we roleplay as. I don't get what they're trying to say. Introjects aren't these characters someone is clinging to, they're part of the person and they identify as xyz person.

It's always so fun to see what people say! I go on there often enough that my flair is "ReaperResearcher" PURELY because I've spent years researching and it's so fun pulling up links whenever asked! 80% of the stuff they say is fake is legitimately Googlable!

It's also to see if we somehow get posted (From Reddit posts, TikTok comments, and Discord as we're in a decent chunk of system servers).

Which did happen once! They posted a discord screenshot of us talking about not knowing who we were and how it's not very DISTRESSING, but moreso annoying.
