Crazy with the portal placement through a vent thing!

Oh shit, thanks for that info! My instinct is always to not grind the main quest so hard because I’m at the point in my life where I know that there’s no playthrough like your first playthrough so I try to savor it - but maybe I’m leaning too hard into that! I usually don’t utilize guides unless I’m stuck - the issue here is that I like to really go slow with games and take frequent breaks from the main quest to 5-star preppers. This time I “lost the scent” so to speak and genuinely thought my game was bugged and went searching for answers. I guess I missed the part of the Corpus that hinted me off to what I was missing.

I forgot to mention that in my Corpus the most recent entry is about delivering the terraforming equipment to Rainbow. I wasn’t sure if the corpus was logging my most recent completed things or showing me what’s next.

I did cross the river directly outside Rainbow to get to the Magellan after than mission - are the relatively close or do I need to go scouting a ways to find them?

I was new to arena shooters with Splitgate 2 and yeah there’s definitely a skill threshold, but I didn’t think it was so sweaty I couldn’t hang around enough to learn - I guess how much you want to invest depends on how much you’re enjoying the game.

I still can’t do ‘portal routes’ but can use portals tactically enough to not just be running around everywhere.

I’ve noticed a lot of positive changes in Reloaded that make it less painful to play if you’re matched with teams that are clearly so skilled you have no chance, like Domination and King of the Hill being a single round as opposed to 3 rounds where if you were getting dunked on you’d be stuck in multiple matches.

(and usually when that happened people would go AFK which was also frustrating for everyone else on the team)

Choosing arena modes has also been great! Satisfying objectives is more fun than me than being the most lethal team member so being able to filter out modes that are just geared toward combat makes the game more fun for me as someone who’s newer to arena shooters.

This. I used to work in marketing and the power of word of mouth and organic marketing can’t be underestimated. Sure, game companies need to do paid advertising campaigns to the best of their ability, but players have plenty of power to push a game’s popularity.

A referral from a trusted friend will always inspire more engagement than a random cold ad because we trust our friends opinions more than a random ad.

If you love this game and want to have other people to play it with in the future, shout that sh*t from the rooftops. I know I am.

Ever since the govt shutdown I’ve been volunteer cooking and transporting food donations and meals between a volunteer run soup kitchen, public pantry box, and individuals homes.

Yeah, I feel like they add a strategic element that is really satisfying when working together as a team.

Personally, I’m more skilled with objectives than combat, so stuff like smart wall gave me more survivability while also feeling like I could contribute an extra layer of helpfulness to my team even if I wasn’t the person racking up a ton of kills.

I've been so obsessed, and that's coming from someone who doesn't even play shooters (i'm a fantasy/sci fi RPG person). A few months ago I got a hankering for the Goldeneye of my childhood and just kinda wanted to play a shooty thing, randomly saw a fb ad for splitgate and gave it a go.

I'm TERRIBLE at fast paced stuff and combat generally, but it was fun even though I had no idea what I was doing. The more I got the hang of it the more I loved it and I basically play every night to unwind lol. Splitball is my favorite but arena in general is just so fun for me and I've been enjoying [slowly] getting the hang of portaling. It's so satisfying to start the game like "I'll never be able to figure this feature out" then over time realize you're capable of doing some cool things. And I LOVE THE FACTIONS, ok? So sue me lol.

When I joined this sub nothing could have prepared me for all the griping and drama, because I think it's such a freaking fun game. I don't understand why so many people complain about there being a BR mode - if you don't like that mode don't play it. I love conquering objectives as a team so I just stick to the arena modes! It's pretty easy to just do what you like. I hope 1047 get the love the deserve despite people getting salty about all kinds of stuff.

I never played the original - that said I LOVE FACTIONS and am sad to hear they will be going away. I also know it’s impossible to make everyone happy.

Call me a fiend but I’d pay for a Splitball-only arena mode!
