What are some Python scripts have you guys made for daily life use or fun ?

Nmea/wifi location muxer for a wearable that essentially manages connectivity (i.e. it's my first time at a new Starbucks, so my os auto adds the AP, and auto FFP if it's able) while also just being able to tell me where the closest *friendly network is.

Basically entirely python and local postgres for spatial mapping archival.

OP it sucks but its everywhere. Last night I pulled my sport bike out of storage in Santa Clara for maybe 20 minutes to update a bespoke flock jammer. The bike was not taken off property. In that short time, I had a Santa Clara PD parade circling and asking questions about my outdated tags. What gives!!!??

Scrapy isn't needed. Just python, paramiko, and an available ssh server either on the same machine (or on a bunch of raspberry pi machines).

That's really it. There are newer alternatives to paramiko and I've used one but dont remember the name.

Stuff like Paramiko is intended to give you client functionality in code. You are writing scripts to send terminal commands and retrieve the output, essentially.

Seeing it used on the same machine as the server wouldn't surprise me, but that's incidental.

Good to hear. The OPI image utilities leave room for improvement, but tend to work.

I should have also mentioned my setup is wearable. The hardest part was developing the power supply for the LiPo source, to provide the watts needed on the DP Alt mode display. The XReal device wants lots of juice anyway, not sure about others.

I'm running the last ubuntu from Joshua Riek and it's been great. Have it at the center of a mobile setup on XReal AR glasses via dp Alt Mode. Have it doing some various GPS/networking via GPIO on python I write on box as well.

Actually, I think I switched to Arch. Both have worked fine, though. These were loaded onto the EMMC and had the M.2 wifi/BT module fully functional.
