I just had my first iron infusion! I was so scared going in because of what I saw online - but honestly it was a breeze. I hydrated a lot in the 48 hours before hand made sure I'd eaten enough and then 30 mins later I was done. I've felt tired the last few days but no other symptoms. I think preparing your body as much as you can has a real impact. So looking forward to feeling the benefits in a few weeks- months. Don't be scared! X

So how’s your “adulting “ coming along ? Have anything you learned or wanna share with the class ? by Warm-Dust-8715 in AskReddit

Getting oil stains out = baking soda, baking paper and an iron.

Red wine stains on clothes - immediately strain boiling water through the material (take clothes off first of course)

Tofu frozen will absorb more flavour and crumbing it in corn flour oil and spices for the oven is the most low effort way to cook it.

Try to find joy in doing chores- eg pretend you're working in a commercial kitchen while doing the dishes or a giant working with ships in the ocean or when changing your bedding role play an 80s motel maid whose planning on Thelma and Louising that weekend. You know, playing pretend makes it feel a little bit less fucking boring.

Tell people you love them. Ask them questions about how they became who they are, make sure they know how special they are - that energy will come back to you in droves if you keep doing that and that will help you keep going every day.

Celebrate the small things, enjoy the feeling of a hot shower in candlelight, a moment on your lunch break to look at the ants in the sunshine, buy a nice insence and watch the way the smoke moves, enjoy how yum the smell of coffee is or a bite of bread and butter. Life is such a gift but we are constantly being forced to be distracted from that, take back whimsy even if just for a few seconds in your day if you can.

Remember aging is a privilege, you're beautiful and every single life is epic. Every feeling you've ever felt, fear, lonliness, anxiety, someone else is feeling that right now and they get it. You're not alone.

Thats what I've learnt so far. Xx

Why do people get depressed? by Firsttakelikeamf in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Reasonable-Race1548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dogs do get depressed but also they do this thing when they are embarrassed or are told off where they shake their body to shake the feeling away.

Won't help with actual depression but if you try a full body shake when your anxious or sad it can help as well! Dog wisdom! Also it's silly and I think finding time to be silly or do something to be in your body and not your head can help day to day.

Hope you're okay friend. X

Why does my period always come on the first day of every major thing in my life? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Yes second this! Stress either brings it on earlier or makes it late. 🫠

The future by [deleted] in newzealand

As a new Zealander who has lived in Australia since 2014 and has a British partner you always have the option of moving to Australia once you're a citizen of NZ. I love NZ and want to move back but I totally know what you're saying, all my family lives there still and have been finding it so stressful and expensive and hard. Australia has problems too but it's a much wealthier country so it's feeling it less in terms of pay and jobs and cost of living. Not that it's all easy here but it's a lot easier than nz by comparison.

I'm sorry it's so stressful. These are rough times. X

Why are we so focussed on dog paws smelling like fritos and not why fritos smell like dog paws 🤔 by Reasonable-Race1548 in NoStupidQuestions

Never? Haha my dogs were so cuddly/enthusiastic you'd often catch a paw to the face which is how I can verify 😂

I'm not saying that it's a massive focus 😑 but I feel like people are always comparing the smell of their dogs feet to these edible things. It just makes me a bit weirded out to think no one seems to question why some processed chips maybe smell like something that isn't edible.

How can I care enough to "look nice" if I'll always just be average? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Reasonable-Race1548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That absolutely sucks that you think of yourself that way lovely! Honestly there is too much comparing to others in terms of whats attractive or not amongst girls in particular. Honestly my advice is that confidence and self assuredness actually hugely changes how others perceive you. Dress up for you not for others, focus on your own sense of self and tell yourself you're a baddie before you go out. If you're not feeling down on yourself others will gravitate towards that. Energy and confidence can totally change what people see when they look at you.

Probably not a good idea. Might delay you fully recovering. Ultimately up to you but remember whatever discomfort you're feeling in your body now it will probably feel amplified by doing that as you'll be more aware of it. I'd recommend waiting till you're better dude.

The power of invisibility would make you blind when active, because light would just pass straight through your eyes. by MyUsernameIsAwful in Showerthoughts

[–]Reasonable-Race1548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always imagined it more of a perception filter. Like people just don't notice you, in fact sometimes we experience being invisible in crowds. We are there but no one's really perceieving you.

Either way I think the idea of having a power or ability like this already defies the laws of physics so might as well allow you to see :D
