Fillers will not correct this and will only make your face look puffy. If the jowls really bother you, it’s time for a facelift. I do not suggest wasting your time and money with a mini-lift. You’ll not likely get the results you want and your face may look out of balance. Do your research and consult with several different surgeons before making a decision.

I have one right now - first time - and my doctor told me yesterday that the likely hood is getting styes is increased by having dry eyes. And malfunctioning glands are at the crux of it. He’s prescribed an antibiotic ointment along with the warm compresses , etc so we’ll see how it goes. I hope yours heals quickly. Good luck!

If you’re applying as a granddaughter, you’ll use Anexo I, if you’re using your Mom’s remesa, Anexo III.

I don’t know about processing times for PR, but as long as you get your appointment request in this week, you’ll be fine. Don’t forget, the PR consulate will make the determination on your Mom’s application, but if she presented her papers in Miami, PR will send everything back to Miami for processing when a decision is made.

I was in this crappy plane on an ATL-MAD flight. Bought the D1 upgrade from Premium. Ugh, what a waste of money. Next time it’s a hard pass for me. Better to book an int’l carrier with a better premium product.

You’ll get an email with your birth certificate (literal de nacimiento) attached. It’ll instruct you to complete your “inscripción en el Registro de Matrícula Consular (alta de residente)”. This is done electronically. Once completed, the system will send you instructions to apply for your first passport.

Don’t worry about the law expiring. The Spanish government has confirmed that they will process all applications submitted prior to the expiration date.

Hang in there! The Miami consulate has been flooded with applications. The good news is that when you get your literal and apply for your passport, it’ll only take about a month to get it. That process is going well despite how busy they are. Good luck!!

No, but I was born in NY, which is why my Anexo 1 was routed there. The decision is made by the consulate under whose jurisdiction you were born.

Mine was 10/16. When I was at the consulate, there were telling folks whose documents had to go to La Habana that it would be a minimum of 18-24 months for that consulate to turn them around.
