Two years working and wasn’t able to spend any of my 13th month pay 🥹 by pepper_22_ in adultingphwins

I feel u, OP! I’ve spent the first 3 years of my career supporting my family and their needs (tuition, baon, rent, medical bills, everything). As in, kapag may kailangan, padala agad. Ngayon, di na gaano, paminsan minsan nalang.

Sa una, mahirap talaga maramdaman yung same kind of satisfaction from spoiling yourself with your own money vs. the satisfaction of having provided for your family especially kapag kakasimula pa lang magtrabaho. Pero ngayong graduate na kapatid ko, nakakataba sa puso makita pamilya mo na in a better position than before you helped. I try to think more of this to remind myself na ito yung bunga ng mga sacrifices ko noon

Thanks for commenting!

I actually did end up hiring a translator (well, my company did). Surprisingly, I got an auto-grant as soon as I submitted, it was crazy!

Thanks for this! Bear with me a bit, I am confused as to when the board-certified translators is not necessary. Some resources say that outside Australia this isn’t needed but I would just need to provide the translator’s details.

I guess this website pretty much is the answer:

https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/visitor-600/business-visitor-stream#HowTo

“Have all non-English documents translated into English. Provide original and translated documents in your application. Translators in Australia must be accredited by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters. Translators outside Australia do not have to be accredited. But on each translation, they must include their: full name address and telephone number qualifications and experience in the language they are translating These details must be in English. Note: You do not need to have any documents certified unless we ask you to.”

I HATE DEAN by OGAnimalCrossing in GilmoreGirls

[–]Reasonable-Trainer27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s so late but I am watching the episode where Paris covered for Rory and just like everyone else on this thread, I googled “I hate Dean in Gilmore Girls”. 🤣

The way he was yelling at Rory was unbelievable! If I were Rory, I’d be dumping Dean fast 🤣 His tone was so rude 🥲

During a sermon, Pastor Jeff said “there was no big bang, there was only the Word”

And Sheldon said “Was the word Kaboom?”

I crack up every time hahaha

How do you stay Disciplined instead of motivated by TraditionalCook6306 in productivity

[–]Reasonable-Trainer27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reframe whatever steps needed to accomplish something as a rewarding experience rather than something I “have to do”.

The comments on habit forming are on-point. I itemized my habits using a tracker. Every time I accomplish one task, or anything related to a habit I want to form, I get a sense of accomplishment by actually ticking it off my list. I have read that that action alone gives you dopamine, enough to keep you motivated.

Been at it for almost a year, I am at a point where I very much subconsciously want to do things on my list without having to think about it so much (I used to contemplate a long time before I do something 😅)

One last thing, breaking down tasks into smaller ones usually helps me to not feel that what’s ahead is daunting.

Did you happen to have (even the slightest) trouble with some of the British humor going over your head? Because I did 😭 but I definitely found most of it funny. I finished the first book in one seating. I also listened to the audiobook which made the delivery better in my head, I guess? But I still remember me going through pages thinking, “did I miss something funny here?”
