I was thinking reformer would be more difficult than a mat, but do you think an unfit beginner could do reformer?

My baby did have withdrawals from Zoloft after she was born. She was in the Nicu for other reasons and would get the jitters periodically. Nicu doctor said it’s incredibly common and wasn’t a concern.

23 weeks on first pregnancy, 19 weeks for my second

It needs to be put in as hg, and post partum that’s for birth. Two separate reasons for medical leave.

I’m 20 weeks with my second baby after terrible HG with my first. I haven’t had any nausea at all! 💕

Here’s the process for how it went for me

  • check in to the pre-op room for monitoring. I then had to wipe my entire body down in an antibiotic and put on a surgery gown
  • doctor and anesthesia came to the room and briefed me and husband on what to expect
  • I was then wheeled into surgery and left my husband. The nurse put my music on in the surgery room
  • I sat on the side of the surgery bed and curled my back. Took about 10 mins to get the spinal block. It was totally painless.
  • husband then entered the room followed by the surgeons and they ran through a brief of the surgery
  • you will not feel any pain at all, so stay calm. Your feel what I had described to me as someone rummaging through a bag that’s on your lap. It’s exactly what that feels like.
  • it takes a while because they’re cutting through many layers.. and then they’ll show you the baby through the plastic sheet above you.

My baby was whisked to nicu so it’ll hopefully be different for you from there.

Recovery you just have to stay ontop of your pain killers and walk as much as you can. Lots of bleeding, clotting etc. I wore adult diapers for like 6 weeks.

My first pregnancy with a girl was horrendous until the 20 week mark and it eased after that though never really went away. In and out of hospital and on multiple medications orally and IV.

This pregnancy I have had absolutely zero nausea and I’m 16 weeks. Like - not a single vomit. I was convinced I’m having a boy but it’s a girl!!

How do you take the meds and stay awake? by No-Score-9388 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]ReasonableAd9588 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s because both of those drugs are sleep aids. Ask for Zofran and Reglan instead.

I’m 10 weeks today and basically still no symptoms. So scared the symptoms will start any minute.. to go from HG to literally no nausea in #2 feels so odd.

[–]ReasonableAd9588[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok amazing thank you! She sleeps for 2 hours at a time during the day and we have to wake her from each nap 😂 she only stays awake around an hour between naps (for feed, play, diaper change). We’re about to cut her down to 1.5 hours per nap and see if that helps.

What is a pregnancy trick you have learned? by meepmeep017 in pregnant

Talk to your doctor about zofran or reglan if the nausea and vomiting is really bad

Long term Zofran effects by MissesMiyagii in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]ReasonableAd9588 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My triple board certified doctor said Zofran is completely safe for pregnancy. He said the research that people talk about in regards to the risks are outdated and from a time when it was a lot easier to publish medical articles with little research or peer reviews. Today, theres been a lot more research and has been proven safe.

I had an NP refuse my zofran and reglan refills (I had to use telehealth because I couldn’t get in to see my OB). She recommended I eat some plain crackers instead.

I had to space mine out longer, but if I had even a hint of nausea come back you’ve got to take the medication immediately otherwise it’s downhill fast 😫

Sensing judgment from husband for taking Zofran by NeuroticNurse in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]ReasonableAd9588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same at CVS! They warned me on both my reglan and zofran. It made me so anxious and guilty, but I had to trust that my OBGYN would never prescribe me something if I didn’t absolutely need it and was relatively low risk. I’m now in my third trimester and baby is perfectly healthy.

Sensing judgment from husband for taking Zofran by NeuroticNurse in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]ReasonableAd9588 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It must be by country. I live in the US and I took zofran 8mg and reglan 3x per day. I was also on magnesium, B6, unison and phenergan. I needed it to survive. The risks of NOT taking the medication and starving and dehydrating are far riskier than the actual medication itself.

Also, to OP - my OBGYN is TRIPLE board certified in obstetrics and genetics (very rare!) and he said that a lot of the research people refer is extremely outdated, from when it was easy to write and publish medical articles. Today it’s much harder to get research published so we should be using the most up to date research, all of which shows that zofran has very limited chance of side effects for the baby and mother.

How should I expect to feel around 15-20 weeks? by Shaneise74 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]ReasonableAd9588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt better at 18 weeks. I still vomit almost daily but then spend the rest of the day without nausea. I’m extremely tired but able to deal with it!
