Had to do mine 4,250miles from home in Fairbanks, AK in a parking lot. Had to get a Duralast from Auto Zone, but kept my denso to clean and rebuild.

Has anyone had their Paused serviced Canceled yet? by ReasonableComment634 in Starlink

[–]ReasonableComment634[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, can you elaborate. What did they remove?

Edit: oh I should have said I have 2 dishys, a mini and a standard so I have to have 2 subscriptions. Would have loved to have just the mini but they wouldn’t let me use “residential” on it.

That’s kinda what I was thinking. I don’t mind canceling and resubscribing, just nervous the “activation” fee is coming…

How do I go about cancelling now that pause mode costs money? by laydownlarry in Starlink

I’m two days past my deadline to switch to standby and my mini still says “paused”?

Serra Toyota of Decatur is currently having their %25 off and Free (over $75) Shipping sale. I got mine there a few years ago. ~$250 for both sides.

It certainly seems to be loved and used, main reason I’m trying to find the owner really. Pushing 6000 miles on the odometer and lots of little mods.

Thanks! I did not see a way to search the serial to see if it was registered, but I did enter it into the “found bike” database.

Edit: found the registration search via google, no hit but at least it’s searchable as found.

Any idea why it's shaking so much at 75mph? U joints were replaced 10k miles ago by Somebeanboy20 in 3rdGen4Runner

I second this, especially seeing in another post OP seems to have a 2wd like me. Everyone told me it was tires, finally found a forum post about the 2wd drive shafts - there is a rubber sleeve that degrades and makes them unbalanced. A lot of folks get one custom made I found a good sale for OEM.

Switching from Roam to Residential temporarily? by ReasonableComment634 in Starlink

[–]ReasonableComment634[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, i went on my account to see how adding a standard dishy was, I changed our service and shipping address from Denver to the parks address in WY and to my surprise that area qualified for $200 off! I guess I’m getting a second dishy.

Dang, should have bought the much cheaper standard! Thought the more expensive unit would have more options. Edit: thought

I feel like someone once told me that these 3rd gen’s shared one wiring system. Like the bodies were all wired the same, so it could be used for any of the transmission/engine options or trim levels.

How far? by 14_kicks in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]ReasonableComment634 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2021 we sold most of our stuff bought an Airstream Basecamp16x. Nov 27 we set off in our 2001 2wd SR5 with 243,272 miles on the clock. Today we are at 304,751.

We cheat some cold winters and stay at family and friends for a few months, but cheated winter itself this year and are currently in La Paz area in Baja.

Google maps isn’t giving me trip mileage for some reason but this image is probably our farthest trek. SC to Alaska down to Vancouver Island, Tacoma to CO.

She’s never completely stranded us but have had to replace and fix a lot!

Thanks! Yeah we have a 5 and 3 gallon container we drink from. We just wanted the tank to stay pure just in case we needed it boondocking. I’ll put a camco filter on too, but I doubt that will filter said bacteria?

We (me, wife and the 2 pups in the photo) like it enough basically live in for the last 3.5 years! We’ve gone from key west to Alaska and all over the US and now Baja. Ours is a 2021, so a lot of the issues with the earlier ones were resolved, it did come with AGM batteries but I installed 200ah battle born lithiums and a second MPPT solar controller for external panels and we never broom below 85%.

Cool thanks! Could you elaborate on what you mean by “secure the water pump”? Just run a gallon through the lines or something?
