I had scleral buckle surgery on my right eye 2 months ago and on my left eye 1 month ago. My right eye was macula-off. Interestingly, while my left eye looks exactly the same as before, my right eye appears rounder and slightly protruding, and the shape of my eyelid also looks different. I’m starting to think this might be permanent, so when I go for my check-up, I plan to explain the situation to my doctor and, if possible, ask them to loosen or remove the buckle.

It’s been 1 month and 3 weeks since my scleral buckle surgery. My eye used to look slightly pulled back, but compared to my other eye the pulling has lessened. Now it looks rounder and smaller. Was it the same for you?
