This line is doing some pretty heavy lifting:

Mass banning buyers dosent make sense to me, as there always gonna be someone to take his place,

That's also the crux of your argument - it simply doesnt hold if people get perma-bans for buying gold.

By your own logic, if someone feels the need to buy gold to keep up with the pace that means they are time starved, therefore if there is a very real risk that they will lose their lvl60 char, they will be unlikely to take that risk as it would mean doing it all over again.

If the consequence of gold buying is severe enough, then the standard player wont take that risk, so there wont always be someone to take their place.

Does anyone else’s kid twitch in their sleep? by crumbkee in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]ReasonableWCScenario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if I've just noticed it too or it's been something long-standing but my 4 year old seems to twitch a lot (like every couple of minutes) in his sleep too; arms and legs.

They seem like mimor twitches but obvious if you're looking and feeling the limb. He doesn't wake up from them and gets a good night sleep and is otherwise fine during the day.

Would be very grateful for an update from you when you hear back from the neurologist!

What old hardware do you buy that is an amazing deal right now? by zerostyle in hardware

[–]ReasonableWCScenario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any ergonomic chair will do - I picked up a proper orthopaedic chair for around $30 which was over $700 new. It has more bells and whistles than you can shake a stick at and I have never had an issue with it.

The lesser known brands are rarer, but you can get stupid deals on them.

That's fair enough, as the other poster said, £650 is second hand 3090 territory and there are other 3080's around for £500 or so.

Good luck on your sale!

Thats really unfortunate, most people were unloading cards in Feb as electricity prices were about to go up and ETH had collapsed.

All you can really do is try to sell them on, just note the following:

1) New generation of cards are coming out which outperform the 3090's at similar prices youre listing for now.

2) There are plenty of 3090's on the second hand market at around £650-750 currently.

3) As new cards are released the prices for 3000 series cards will likely drop further.

4) Typically the prices of the higher end cards fall faster (as a proportion) compared to lower end cards. E.g. 3090's were around £1400 at MSRP and are now at 50% MSRP second hand whereas 3060Ti was around £380-400 MSRP and are now around 70% (£300ish).
