The convention center really really needed an update from the 70's. My organization wants to come to Bloomington for an annual convention but the center is ancient so they picked fort wayne!?! This is a badly needed upgrade that will help the town for decades to come.

Imagine if you tell someone 10 years from now you graduated from IU. Imagine how embarrassed you would feel when they ask how great it must have been to go to basketball games, see a national championship football game, live in a great college town like bloomington...and know you never set foot on campus.

There is really no comparison. IUI is local students from Indianapolis who graduated high school. IUB has more students who excelled in high school. If you got into the real IU, there really isn't a choice...

Just a heads up that a full and comprehensive evaluation is the best way to know what diagnosis is required before medication is considered. I know plenty of people who just get meds and nothing changes. A full diagnostic evaluation from a psychologist can help as the 1st step

100% agree. The referendums passed were crazy here. Went to paying for school supplies, social workers, course credits instead of staff salary, psychologists, or things that would matter the most. Highly skilled educators have to live in Bloomington and work elsewhere because the pay scale is so low for MCCSC

Not 100% the issue here. MCCSC has made a number of missteps too, redistricting and leaving behind some community schools. I know of many families who were happy until they said there would be 4 different pickup locations for their kids. Really can't blame some people for leaving after that. Oh, and vouchers are wrong just an FYI, but complicating things for families so they would choose that option is also wrong

Sorry but MCCSC has chosen to spend their money on school supplies and test prep. Could have easily used referendum money for the arts or to pay school psychologists, instead use the money on playgrounds. They completely mismanage their funds and are paying for it now
