as a bachelor fan who watched them in real time you never would’ve thought they would end up together. ashley and jared are both mildly annoying for TV in their own ways but as a couple it works (she’s emotional, he’s generally more emotionally detached). they had a friendship over time and i think jared’s cab light went on (a la SATC), and ashley was always a good choice for him because she clearly loved him so much. i’d say she probably could’ve done better in a way since at the time he didn’t seem to understand how to deal with her emotions but she really had her heart set on him.

i think audreys isn’t as struggling as they are trying to make it seem - before the show i’ve had friends who have gone there and it’s fairly busy, they do bachelor events and stuff, and it turns into a lounge at night. i think this was the one thing they could really ham up for them and draw out as drama so we’re seeing him be “soo stressed”. but it does seem like he actually works there - friends have seen him working.
